Organizational framework
FAO provides support in specialized technical cooperation processes to entities of the National and Territorial Government in the field of Human Right to Food, sustainable rural development, rural poverty and sustainable management of natural resources, generating capacities at the community, organizational and institutional levels through the formulation and application of policies; generation, administration, access, and exchange of information and knowledge; as well as with the promotion and participation in networks, alliances and associations; that promote the management of programs and projects, all aimed at the eradication of hunger, the end of poverty and the reduction of inequalities.
The purpose of this call is to respond to the demands of personnel, for the execution of the different programs and projects, and to provide the FAO Office Colombia with a list of candidates/as with qualified profiles in different technical areas.
Hierarchical dependency
The holder will be under the general supervision of the FAO Representative in Colombia, of the National Program Officer; the technical supervision of the specialist in the technical area that requires the position / position/s and will work closely with its technical teams.

Tasks and responsibilities
Profile 1: Technician; inexperienced technologist or professional develops support tasks: supports training processes; makes technical visits to communities; develops logistics activities; generates supplies for reports; supports the collection, consolidation and systematization of project information.
Profile 2: Professional with a university degree develops process support functions from his professional expertise: he provides technical assistance and support from planning to establishing activities; provides technical support for the technical and pedagogical models in charge; prepares and conducts training sessions; draws up, documents and presents reports of results of execution of the planned activities.
Profile 3: Specialist who develops complete processes from his area of expertise and is responsible for the results of the processes in charge: advising and accompanying the application of FAO methodologies; leads the development of strategies; accompanies inter-institutional articulation and alliances actions; accompanies, guides and advises the technical teams; leads technical tables; leads publications, studies and systematizations of the technical issues in charge; prepare documents and analyze documents; participates in the formulation and application of policies.

Minimum requirements
According to the Profile and the orientation:
Profile 1: Technician; technologist or professional without experience in the following areas: agronomy; agricultural; agricultural; veterinary; zootechnologist; agroecology; environmental; nutrition; social; agro business and marketing.
- From 1 to 5 years of experience for Technicians; technologists, certified.
- Certificate of finished subjects for professionals.
Profile 2: Professional with a university degree in the following areas: agronomy; agricultural; agricultural; veterinary; zootechnist; agroecology; environmental; nutrition; Social; agro business and marketing.
- From 2 to 5 years of certified professional experience.
Perfil 3: Profesional con posgrado en las siguientes áreas: agronomía; agrícola; agropecuaria; veterinaria; zootecnista; agroecología; ambiental; nutrición; social; agro negocios y mercadeo con posgrado en áreas de desarrollo rural; desarrollo territorial; políticas públicas o afines.
- De 4 a 8 años de experiencia como profesional especializado/a, certificada.

- Dominio del español (nivel C) hablado y escrito.
- Nacionalidad colombiana
