Project: Evidence-based decision making – EVIDEM Consortium. Information management through evidence-based decision making for a better humanitarian response in Colombia.

CONTEXT

The main objective of this project is to improve overall coordination between humanitarian actors through analysis, evaluation and synergistic information management services.

Through this project, information will be shared between actors to improve decision-making and response capacity.

EVIDEM organizations will share their experiences, knowledge and lessons learned to achieve the goal.

The proposed activities, together with the knowledge and experiences of each of the organizations included in the EVIDEM consortium, in addition to complementing each other, are aligned with the Emblematic Initiative1 by establishing itself as a collective coordination structure for the management of information to the service of humanitarian organizations, facilitating the way to put people and their priorities, needs and capacities at the center of all actions.

Using its experience and knowledge gained through its long-standing support to humanitarian coordination mechanisms and information management capacity strengthening activities, 3iSolution (iMMAP FRANCE) aims to strengthen and empower humanitarian partners to leverage and optimize information management tools, technologies, platforms and best practices in your response to a humanitarian crisis. To help achieve this, 3iSolution (iMMAP FRANCE) will carry out two main activities: 1. Provision of needs-based information management products and services to OCHA and the HCT (Humanitarian Country Team) in Colombia, particularly to align methodology of the Joint and Intersectoral Analysis Framework (JIAF) 2.0, to contribute to an evidence-based HPC. 2. Strengthen and train information management capacities at the community level, including indigenous authorities.

The EVIDEM consortium will provide a collective response from the main information management and analysis players addressing the identified gaps in information assessment, analysis and management. The proposal seeks to strengthen the capacities of the

first responder institutions and communities, including indigenous organizations, for anticipatory action and rapid response through analysis, assessment and related coordination capabilities to improve multi-hazard crisis preparedness and response capacity in disaster-affected areas. crisis in Colombia, including an emphasis on coordination and information exchange between humanitarian actors linked to humanitarian access and clusters.

Service’s description :

The person in charge of this position is responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance and providing support to the consultants’ equipment, guaranteeing the continuous operation of the equipment and the maximum optimization of resources. This position reports directly to the Head of Administration and Finance.

Activities

  • Design, present and execute the preventive maintenance plan and the technical support plan for the project teams.
  • Make quotes for equipment parts/products.
  • Evaluate the obsolescence of equipment in the warehouse.
  • Verify and update the equipment in the warehouse for assignment to staff or for donation due to obsolescence.
  • Install, configure and update hardware and software.
  • Diagnose failures and errors, timely report on needs that may arise during software and hardware updates.
  • Build and report maintenance reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Update the equipment maintenance log.
  • Carry out the survey and update of the equipment inventory.
  • Optimize the useful life of equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate control and registration of equipment warranties.
  • Ensure that the storage of equipment in the warehouse is appropriate to guarantee the condition of the equipment.
  • Manage operational developments in systems/licenses through the Jira platform.
  • Prepare monthly diagnostics of the status of the equipment.
  • Prepare and implement the Cyber ​​Security Plan for 3iSolution (iMMAP FRANCE) Colombia.
  • Prepare collection accounts (automated document) and invoices (automated document), for the administrative management of fee payment.
  • Unification of consultant collection documents
  • Organize the equipment removal plan and the cleaning and formatting process prior to storage in the warehouse.
  • Support in logistics management of in-person events.
  • Request quotes and negotiate prices and terms with suppliers.
  • Maintain an updated database of suppliers and products and other activities relevant to the management of your contract.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and practical experience in hardware and software support and maintenance.
  • Experience in Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems, practical MS Office tools and its productivity tools (antivirus, PDF visualizations, multimedia, compressors, etc.).
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications.
  • Dedication, commitment and responsibility in the management of activities.
  • Analytical capacity and commitment to close activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

To be eligible, the person interested in applying for this position must have at least 3 years of experience in activities similar to those presented in these terms.

Education:

Accredited professional in the areas of: systems engineering, computer science, or related areas.

Languages:

Fluent command of Spanish is required (speaking and writing it), basic knowledge of the English language (desirable).
