CONTEXT

The main objective of this project is to improve overall coordination between humanitarian actors through analysis, evaluation and synergistic information management services.

Through this project, information will be shared between actors to improve decision-making and response capacity.

EVIDEM organizations will share their experiences, knowledge and lessons learned to achieve the goal.

The proposed activities, together with the knowledge and experiences of each of the organizations included in the EVIDEM consortium, in addition to complementing each other, are aligned with the Emblematic Initiative1 by establishing itself as a collective coordination structure for the management of information to the service of humanitarian organizations, facilitating the way to put people and their priorities, needs and capacities at the center of all actions.

Using its experience and knowledge gained through its long-standing support to humanitarian coordination mechanisms and information management capacity strengthening activities, 3iSolution (iMMAP FRANCE) aims to strengthen and empower humanitarian partners to leverage and optimize information management tools, technologies, platforms and best practices in your response to a humanitarian crisis. To help achieve this, iMMAP will carry out two main activities: 1. Provision of needs-based information management products and services to OCHA and the HCT (Humanitarian Country Team) in Colombia, particularly to align the Framework methodology Joint and Intersectoral Analysis (JIAF) 2.0, to contribute to an evidence-based HPC. 2. Strengthen and train information management capacities at the community level, including indigenous authorities.

The EVIDEM consortium will provide a collective response from the main information management and analysis players addressing the identified gaps in information assessment, analysis and management. The proposal seeks to strengthen the capacities of the

first responder institutions and communities, including indigenous organizations, for anticipatory action and rapid response through analysis, assessment and related coordination capabilities to improve multi-hazard crisis preparedness and response capacity in disaster-affected areas. crisis in Colombia, including an emphasis on coordination and information exchange between humanitarian actors linked to humanitarian access and clusters.

Service’s description

The natural person offering these services aims to support the sector in identifying priorities and analyzing health gaps for the migrant and refugee population, based on health needs. The products will be programmed together with sector leaders and members of the coordination space, in a jointly created work plan.

Activities

· Build the work plan, in coordination with OCHA, the OCR and the main actors of the humanitarian response in Ecuador. The list of deliverables will finally be created based on this plan and in accordance with the needs established by the partners. Possible products include the preparation of infographics, dashboards, presentations, newsletters and/or information systems, created in conjunction with the 3iSolution team, based in Bogotá, Colombia.

· Feed sectoral indicators of needs, monitoring, and quality, as well as capture mechanisms and processing systems.

· Generate information products on the humanitarian situation in Ecuador, based on primary and secondary information

· Ensure the correct exchange of data between the different humanitarian actors in Ecuador

· Implementation of a data repository in conjunction with the transversal data, web development and GIS teams, based in Bogota, Colombia

· Establish the bases for the creation of an IMWG (Information Management Working Group) in Ecuador with key partners that allows the exchange of data and information management methodologies in humanitarian contexts.

· Be a focal point for information management in Ecuador in humanitarian contexts.

· Implementation of new technologies for monitoring the internally displaced population.

· Estimate the population with needs based on the JIAF 2.0 methodology in conjunction with the transversal support team based in Bogota, Colombia.

· Identification of IM needs and requirements with partners and sectors.

· Maintain updated databases necessary for permanent monitoring of the response and also create products

· Ensure the measurement of the impact of information products through monitoring the products produced, published and disseminated,

· Register the indicators assigned in the matter, report them on the platforms indicated in the Plan.

· Identification of information systems and tools that partners and government authorities develop to identify possible complementarities.

· Agree on the activities necessary to contribute to the development of a strategy in the sector.

· Respond to requests for products and services information from

sectors according to the area of ​​expertise, in support of other partners.

· Maintain area statistics and support efficient product management.

· Carry out the processes of updating and strengthening the capacities of the sectors, for the reporting and management of information.

· Prepare monthly progress reports.

· Guarantee the timely and organized delivery of the products agreed in the work schedule.

· Participate in transversal team meetings and knowledge management spaces organized for this purpose.

Skills

Knowledge of the Health, Food Safety, Nutrition, Protection, Education, WASH or other sectors.

Knowledge of the humanitarian sector in Ecuador and Colombia.

Management of information systems and data analysis skills.

Knowledge of SPSS, SAS tools or any other relevant statistical package.

Experience in analytical processes and working together with other organizations.

Ability to work based on objectives and compliance with standards through management indicators.

Knowledge of regional and national migration dynamics, its actors and understanding of the policies implemented in the area.

Knowledge of the dynamics of the national humanitarian architecture, its actors and understanding of the policies implemented in the area.

Advanced management of the Office Suite.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience

To be eligible, the person interested in applying for this position must have at least 2 years of experience developing activities similar to those indicated in these terms.

Education

Accredited professional in the areas of: Statistics, Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Economics or related areas.

Languages

Fluent command of Spanish is required (speaking and writing), advanced knowledge of the English language (required).
