Technical assistant in the project Promotion of a Responsible Land Policy in Cameroon to support the Cameroonian Ministry of Domains, Cadastre and Land Affairs (MINDCAF) in the digitization of land documents

Business areas
The “Promotion of Responsible Land Policy” (ProPFR) project in Cameroon contributes to strengthening land use rights in the Central Region, thus preserving the livelihoods of rural populations while contributing to the protection and restoration of forest lands. It supports sustainable access to land, in particular for women, youth and marginalized groups, as well as the resolution of land conflicts, particularly of an agropastoral nature.
The project actively contributes to the national strategy for implementing the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, which notably provides for a reform and modernization of the cadastral and land administration. One of the interests of the reform is the legal recognition and practical guarantee of traditional collective land rights.
Your missions
- Support to the main political partner of the project, the Ministry of Domains, Cadastre and Land Affairs (MINDCAF), at regional and departmental level for the digitization of land documents and the creation of an integrated cadastral database
- Follow-up of a feasibility study on the archiving and digitization of land documents
- Support for the establishment of an archiving system and the strengthening of corresponding application capacities within the partner organization and other project partners
- Ensure regular exchange between the partner organization at regional and departmental level, the main political partner at national level and the ProPFR project
Your profile
- University degree in the fields of geography, topography, cartography, spatial planning, social sciences or information and communication or related fields
- Proven knowledge and experience in IT/ICT and understanding of IT developments and IT/ICT projects
- Affinity with the field of digital transformation; knowledge of the promotion of “ digital literacy ” and consulting approaches in terms of information and communication technologies
- First work experience in the context of international development cooperation (preferably in French-speaking Africa)
- Motivation for creative work and development of joint innovative ideas with national partners at ministerial level
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, pronounced conceptual and analytical abilities and high consulting skills
- Intercultural skills, ability to work in a team, commitment and motivation, high availability, frustration tolerance and flexibility in a complex and stimulating project environment
- Mastering French ; fluency in English and German is an asset
