Support to the Water and Sanitation Division ( WSA ) of the IDB Representation in Panama – Internship Program of the Country Offices / Offices 2023 – Intern ( Consultant )

About this position:
The IDB Representation ( COF ) in Panama is looking for an active Undergraduate Student to be hired as a 2023 intern under the Consultant modality.
The COF / Offices Internship Program is a paid Competitive opportunity for university students from member countries to learn about work on development issues and the Bank’s corporate management, and gain professional work experience through learning at work.
What you will do:
- Carry out data collection and bibliographic research to support the formulation of new operations and technical cooperations of the Water and Sanitation Division in Panama.
- Prepare tables and tables with the information on physical, financial execution and performance indicators of the programs in Water and Sanitation currently underway.
- Prepare reports, minutes, presentations and meeting minutes related to water and sanitation projects.
- Systematize information and lessons learned for integration into technical notes, blogs or reports on the projects executed.
- Provide support in the coordination of logistical aspects of the organization of meetings, workshops, trainings and other events.
- Support the correct archive of official documentation such as Memory Aids, Consultant Products, among others.
- Support the Sector Specialist and work team in the corresponding activities.
What you will need:
- Education: Active undergraduate student in Civil, Hydraulic, Sanitary Engineering or related careers of an accredited university, the student must be pursuing at least the second year of career. The graduation date must be after the last day of the internship.
- Languages : Be competent in Spanish with practical knowledge of English.
- Soft skills : Orientation to results, collaboration, innovation, customer orientation, good level of communication, motivation, eager to learn and excellent time management.
- Technical skills: Management of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. Desirable management of Microsoft Project. It is important to have skills in database management, preparation of tables and data tables, methodologies for preparing reports.
Requirements:
- Citizenship : Be a citizen of Panama.
- Age : Be between 21 and 27 years old for undergraduate students, or up to 33 years old for graduate students from the start date of the internship.
- Consanguinity : Not having relatives ( up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including the spouse ) working at the IDB or IDB Invest.
- First job in the IDB Group : To be a participant for the first time in a Internship Program organized by the Bank or the Inter-American Investment Corporation ( “Corporation” also known as “IDB Invest” ). In addition, having been a former staff member, Complementary Workforce ( “CW” ), contractor for the Bank or Corporation, or have previously provided services to the Bank or Corporation through a contractor or under any other contractual modality.
