For thirty years,’ONG International Acted has been working on the last kilometer of’action humanitariane to save lives. Acted currently supports 20 million people in 43 countries to meet their needs in hard-to-reach areas, and pursues a triple humanitarian, environmental and’acteur du development mandate. Mali Acted
Since 2012, Acted has been mobilized in Mali in response to the complex crisis and structural and economic challenges facing the country, with interventions that combine emergency operations and development programs. The’Acted teams (today’Hui 11 international employees and 160 national employees) supported more than ’1 million people in 6 regions of Mali: Segou, Mopti, Gao, Menaka, Timbuktu and Bamako.
Main role and responsibilities
The area coordinator represents Acted in relation to local authorities, donors, beneficiary populations and other key actors.
The coordinator is a member of the management team, he / she guarantees the quality of the program and its operational implementation, as well as its deployment where appropriate and achievable, he / she/it ensures a strong role of representation. The coordinator directly supervises the project managers by checking that the projects and programs are adapted to the needs of the beneficiaries and that they are implemented in accordance with Acted’s overall strategy , with the lessor’s orientations. Once the work plans and budgets have been validated, the area coordinator also supervises day-to-day operations and security in the area concerned.

Qualifications and skills required
- Training in international development,’urgency operations, humanitarian programs etc. ;
- In-depth experience in project management in the field of’urgency and/or development programs ;
- Basic management skills are preferable (HR, finance, logistics) ;
- At least four years of relevant professional experience, preferably including the management of safety ;
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities’ required ;
- Ability to work under pressure ;
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, and flexibility ;
Conditions
- Salary defined by the Acted salary grid according to the level of’studies,’expertise, the level of safety and the level of experience : between 3100 and 3200 € monthly net (before income taxes)
- Monthly living expenses allowance 300$
- Guesthouse accommodation and food supported by Acted
- Transport to the mission and return ticket fully supported every 6 months (to the’address specified on the employment contract)
- Visa fees supported by Acted
- R&R every 3 months (aircraft ticket’ supported up to’ 500$ + additional allowance of 200$)
- One week of preparation for departure including 4 days of immersion safety training
- Possibility of’having a call of 30 minutes with a consultant in taxation
- Psychological support (meet with a professional.le)
