Mali Acted

Since 2012, Acted has been mobilized in Mali in response to the complex crisis and structural and economic challenges facing the country, with interventions that combine emergency operations and development programs. The’Acted teams (today’Hui 11 international employees and 160 national employees) supported more than ’1 million people in 6 regions of Mali: Segou, Mopti, Gao, Menaka, Timbuktu and Bamako.

Main role and responsibilities

The Project Manager contributes to the development of project proposals in line with the global strategy of’Acted and the country programme. It ensures appropriate grant management, including in particular timely reports on the’completion of projects for donors. The Senior Project Manager facilitates internal communication and coordination with the relevant departments, and contributes to’Acted’s external communication strategy.

4. External Communication

Qualifications and skills required

  • Master level training in a relevant field such as international relations, development or political science;
  • 1 To 2 years of’ previous work experience in a relevant position ;
  • Previous work experience in a related field, with knowledge of project design, proposal writing and grant management ;
  • Knowledge of the’ humanitarian aid system and ability to understand donor systems ;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical skills ;
  • Strong coordination and interpersonal skills ;
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and at a fast pace ;
  • Ability to work under pressure ;
  • Good team spirit and ability to work with varied profiles.

Conditions

  • Salary defined by the Acted salary grid according to the level of’studies,’expertise, the level of safety and the level of experience : between 1800 and 2000 € monthly net (before income taxes)
  • Monthly living expenses allowance 300$
  • Guesthouse accommodation and food supported by Acted
  • Social security, mutual insurance (MSH) and repatriation assistance (SOS International) supported by Acted
  • Transport to the mission and return ticket fully supported every 6 months (to the’address specified on the employment contract)
  • Visa fees supported by Acted
  • R&R every 3 months (aircraft ticket’ supported up to’ 500$ + additional allowance of 200$)
  • One week of preparation for departure including 4 days of immersion safety training
  • Possibility of having a 30-minute call with a consultant in taxation
  • Psychological support ( date with a professional.the )
