War Child Netherlands consists of more than 50 passionate professionals who are responsible for a large part of War Child Global’s income, all fundraising activities in the Netherlands and for the positioning and reputation of the organization. You are
Enthusiastic about the work of War Child and would like to contribute to improving the future prospects of many children worldwide. You know how to tackle things and you have excellent communication skills. You know how to bind people to you, both verbally and in writing. You are a social team player who can also work independently, without losing the overview. You know how to organize and supervise various fundraising activities in an empathetic manner. Your responsibilities
- Maintaining (pro)active contact with, advising and informing the organizers of actions and events (written, verbal or personal)
- Directing, inspiring and facilitating the fundraising volunteers;
- Managing and supervising interns
- Identifying fundraising opportunities that may be of extra interest to War Child and responding proactively by suggesting ideas
- Proactively market and promote existing promotional concepts
- Attending actions and events to represent War Child or coordinate activities
- Ensure the administrative processing of information in our CMS system.
Your Profile
- You are energetic and positive
- Strong communication skills (both by telephone and face-to-face) and the talent to inspire and convince people
- You enjoy representing diverse groups
- A real team player
- Enterprising and decisive
- Accurate and used to working with CRM systems
- Flexible and able to keep an overview when you are working on different things
- Good command of both the Dutch and English language
- Affinity with the story, values and mission of War Child
- Available 32-40 hours per week
What we offer
- Salary ranges from €3583 to €4455 gross per month, based on 40 hours per week (the exact amount is determined by the years of your relevant work experience)
- 8% holiday allowance based on annual salary
- An employment contract for 32-40 hours
- 29 vacation days per year on a full-time basis (including 3 predetermined days off)
- A pension scheme fully paid for by War Child Netherlands

Onze organisatie
War Child Nederland is een dynamische organisatie waar een informele sfeer heerst en waar veel ruimte is voor creativiteit en eigen initiatief. Het imago dat War Child Nederland extern uitdraagt, is een blauwdruk van het werk op het hoofdkantoor: het is dynamisch, vernieuwend, integer en gericht op het behalen van resultaten tegen lage kosten. War Child Nederland besteedt zoveel mogelijk budget aan het helpen van kinderen in oorlog en doet er daarom alles aan om de kosten zo laag mogelijk te houden. Onze arbeidsvoorwaarden zijn op het niveau van de Nederlandse NGO sector. Het kantoor is gevestigd in de Amsterdamse wijk Watergraafsmeer. Momenteel werken we in een hybride vorm, met de combinatie van thuis en op kantoor.
