Oxfam in the Central African Republic is looking for a Funding Manager based in Bangui, reporting directly to the Country Management.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

  • Develop the country Funding strategy which includes a map of potential donors, a matrix of the financing cycle of current and potential donors and ensure its implementation in collaboration with the Senior Management team;
  • Collect and analyze the different financing opportunities offered by the confederation and donors interested in the CAR;
  • Ensure the institutional consolidation of local partners and strengthen their capacities in terms of knowledge of donor requirements in order to ensure good quality reporting concerning their activities;
  • Help ensure the strategic and technical application of the design, development, budget planning, implementation and monitoring of the Country Strategy (OCS) and Oxfam’s feminist principles;
  • Ensure the consistency and quality of interim and final reports sent to donors. Ensure compliance with Oxfam standards and donor guidelines;
  • Ensure that good quality and timely information is provided to management bodies, the region and other stakeholders for the budget planning process according to Oxfam processes;
  • Support the Programs and Finance teams in the development of budgets and narratives, in the response strategy to best meet the requirements of the calls for proposals;
  • Build strategic alliances with all the resources of the confederation to ensure funding for programming with local and global influence;
  • In collaboration with the Country Director, coordinate the negotiation of contracts with donors in accordance with the guidelines for managing relations with donors in the country;

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

  • Starting position: 01/06/2024
  • Contract duration: 12 months
  • Annual gross salary: 34,408 Euros gross/year
  • Leave: 34 days per year (including public holidays)
  • Hard to work allowance: 5.515 Euros net/ an
  • Insurance, per diem, accommodation, R&R, travel paid by Oxfam according to the conditions in force
  • Location: Bangui, CAR with trips to the bases.

Essential criteria

  • University education at bac +4 level, preferably in the fields of Economic Sciences, Social Sciences, Development or similar;
  • Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in resource mobilization and financing management;
  • Have 3 to 5 years of experience in humanitarian and/or development NGOs;
  • Experience in managing complex partnerships;
  • Experience in developing indicators and logical framework;
  • Knowledge of donor mechanisms, notably ECHO, EU, UN agencies, World Bank, national donors (SIDA, AECID, AMC, GFO, BMZ, AFD, BHA, ASDI.);
