Zoom on the Operational Development and Partnerships Emergency Service
The Operational Development and Partnerships Emergency Department is made up of 7 people. The mission of its members is to enable PUI to propose major developments in its intervention methods, with the essential mission of ensuring the development of humanitarian activities of the First International Emergency.
And the SYNERGIES Coordinator in all of this?
As a SYNERGIES Coordinator, and under the supervision of the Emergency & Operational Development Officer, the PUI partnership and an inter-NGO steering committee, you will coordinate the implementation of the SYNERGIES project in conjunction with the various members of the ( Humanity and Inclusion mechanism, Médecins du Monde, Solidarités Internationale et Première Urgence Internationale ).
To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows :
- Coordination and strengthening of the SYNERGIES mechanism : You will lead the meetings of the steering committee and ensure communication with the members of the mechanism on the progress of activities. You will coordinate the updating of the protocols and tools of the joint intervention framework for SYNERGIES members.
- Coordinated monitoring system: You will be in charge of formalizing a coordinated and shared monitoring tool. You will organize and coordinate the standby meeting and the sharing of information with SYNERGIES members. You will contribute to the analysis of the contexts of embryonic, complex and forgotten crises. You will be in charge of developing a Mapping of actors and potential local partners in the pre-identified areas.
- Exploratory missions and access analyzes for SYNERGIES : You will be deployed to the pre-identified areas to strengthen the context analysis and prepare access to a potential intervention by SYNERGIES members. You will initiate the administrative registration processes of the members of the mechanism to facilitate faster access. You will participate in steering multi-sectoral exploratory missions of SYNERGIES members. You will analyze the constraints and access solutions in different potential intervention countries.
- Capitalization and development of tools: You will supervise the capitalization exercise for each effective collaboration of the members of the mechanism with a methodology defined in advance. You will propose the development of tools that will allow the facilitation of future exploratory missions or joint deployments.
- Representation : You will ensure the representation of SYNERGIES with donors funding the mechanism and / or the emergency responses provided by the members. You will coordinate with external coordination mechanisms such as the RLH, Alliance Urgence, Start Network or link 2007.

What you need to succeed
- Training
You can justify a higher diploma ( min. Master 2 or equivalent ) in a field linked to humanitarian action: project management, technical training linked to one of our intervention sectors, human resources management, financial management, etc.
- Experience
You are strong with a humanitarian experience of at least 5 years ( including 2 operational coordination in the field ), you have confirmed experience in security management ( at Headquarters or in the field ). You have previous experience in conducting or collaborating in multisectoral diagnoses. Do you have experience as Head of Mission ? It is highly desired. Have you ever worked with one of the SYNERGIES member organizations ? It will be an undeniable asset!
- Skills
You demonstrate practical knowledge of humanitarian programs and the main institutional donors. You master the challenges, the functioning and the organization of the Administrative, Finance, Logistics and HR services. You are able to evolve in unstable contexts and in very limited comfort living conditions.
- Qualities required
You have shown excellent analytical and reflection skills and you consider yourself pragmatic. You have a good relationship, a ease of communication, both in writing and orally, and you have a taste for teamwork. You also demonstrate leadership and the ability to make decisions, reliability and sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, responsiveness and adaptability. You are a diplomat and you have a capacity and a taste for negotiation. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.
- Languages
Do you speak French and English fluently ? This is essential for this position !

PUI will offer you
- Status: Frame
- Salary: 3200 EUR gross monthly over 12 months
- Medical cover: 80% of the Health and Welfare mutual
- Support: Support for 50% of the transport ticket and up to 60% of the Tickets Restaurant ( with a face value of 9 € )
- Rest: 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month ( 37h / week )
