Position Summary:

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is looking for a Storekeeper who will be Under the supervision of the Fleet and Transport Manager, the Storekeeper is responsible for managing spare parts in stock, office supplies, fuel and lubricants in stock. stock at the park depot level. He works in close collaboration with the Procurement Officer, Fleet Manager and Infrastructure manager in the delivery and reception of materials.

He ensures the proper use and usage from reception, inventory management to delivery of materials to facilitate park activities following the exit vouchers and stock sheets made available to him as part of his work.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Updating stock sheets, bin cards at the end of the day, etc. ;
  • Check the inventory and transmit the needs to the purchasing manager with the validation of the fleet and transport manager as well as the approval of the Site Head of Logistics of the order (quality and quantity) and introduce them into the store’s stocks;
  • Keep your stocks up to date in orderly and easy to check storage;
  • Carry out monthly inventories in order to report discrepancies or replenishments;
  • Perform the daily opening and closing of the store and warehouse;
  • Interact constantly with the supply manager, inventory manager, drivers and mechanics;
  • Prepare the stock report at the end of each;
  • Perform any other task as requested by management.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Baccalaureate or Brevet in commercial or mechanics;
  • 3 years of experience as a parts clerk or warehouse worker;
  • Have good verbal communication skills;
  • Be available and organized in storage;
  • Work autonomy with obtaining results;
  • Mastery of French, Lingala and Swahili;
  • Have a good command of the office pack.
