Created in 1991, Secours Islamique France (SIF) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) for emergency relief and development. SIF acts with strict neutrality, without distinction of origin, gender or religion, and is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the world’s most deprived populations.
SIF is looking for an intern for its AFRICA-HAITI Desk in Massy.
Context
Under the supervision of the Desk Manager, the Desk intern will provide administrative and programmatic support, as well as support in terms of mission monitoring and geopolitical monitoring of the geographical area in which he/she works in order to optimize the implementation of missions.
The main missions will be as follows (non-exhaustive and evolving list):
- Assist the Desk Manager and under his supervision, assist the Program Manager, the Logistician and the Management Controller with regard to the administrative files of the missions as well as in the implementation of current programs
- Assist in the compilation of geopolitical information according to the instructions of the Desk Manager
- Support the Desk Manager in the administrative and programmatic monitoring of missions
- Develop one or more topics/themes relating to programs or strategies according to the needs or interests of the Desk or DPOI.
Profile
Knowledge/Skills
- Master 1 or 2 in International Relations or equivalent
- Theoretical knowledge of institutional donors (ECHO, United Nations agencies, State cooperation, etc.) and their procedures
- Mastery of the project cycle and international humanitarian standards
- Organization, good management of deadlines and stress
- Mastery of the Office pack (Excel, Word etc.)
- Fluent English
Conditions
