CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

After the devastating earthquake of September 2023, BSF is launching its programs in Morocco, in collaboration with its local partners, to support educational activities and access to information.

Are you a former teacher or someone with a lot of experience in animation and/or training ? Do you have experience in developing’activities programs or training materials ? Are you interested in new technologies ?

BSF is looking for a volunteer and autonomous content, training and mediation officer.

He/she will work to ensure the quality of the programmes and to ensure that the teaching tools and methods are adapted to the needs of the people benefiting from the project and our partners.

The main objectives of the position are :

  • Identify needs, select and adjust physical and digital equipment, design activities and training sessions, and provide support to field teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Contribute to develop the skills of the BSF Morocco team and local partners in the choice of content, the animation of sessions and training.

MAIN MISSIONS

The/the person responsible for content, training and mediation will be under the supervision of the project manager (based at headquarters) and will work closely with the/al Project Officer (based in Morocco). He/she will also work closely with the head office project-BSF advisor, as well as with the education, content and training team at BSF headquarters in Paris.

The/the person responsible for content, training and mediation is responsible for the following tasks :

1/Documentary strategy, selection and creation of content

  • Participate in the needs assessment for projects, under the supervision of the technical advisor at headquarters.
  • Lead the creation and updating of the documentary strategy of the projects, based on needs assessments, with the support of the technical advisor of the head office and the education department, and, content & training.
  • Conduct the selection, creation and documentation of physical and digital content adapted to content strategies, with the support of the headquarters technical advisor.
  • Identify and work with local translators and actors to design appropriate and relevant content to enrich the database of BSF content and activities.
  • Gather feedback from users and partners to adjust the content bank to build and update a large library of appropriate local resources.
  • Provide technical advice for the design of new projects.

2/Employment

  • Design, with the/the Project Officer and the implementing partners, the programme of activities for each project.
  • To provide technical advice to implementation partners on a day-to-day basis, as required.
  • Ensure the quality of the teaching materials deployed, with the support of the technical advisor at headquarters.
  • Develop the necessary resources to support the deployment of BSF facilitation tools and methodologies (activity guides, methodological guides, etc.) and document good practices.

3/Training

  • Design and implement training sessions and/or adapt existing sessions, concerning the use and management of digital and physical tools and content, and, facilitation and programming of training, user involvement, in accordance with general guidelines and existing documents.
  • Conduct regular field visits to observe the implementation of the activities of the BSF partners.
  • Under the supervision of the Project Officer, contribute to the logistics and the’organization of training.
  • Design the writing of training reports and’assessments.
  • Design suitable training material for BSF partners (in-person and online modules, guides, etc.), in particular via the BSF learning platform.

4/Computers and tools

  • Coordinate the integration and updating of digital content on servers and other computer equipment (software, applications, etc.), with the support of the headquarters technical advisor and the IT department.
  • To provide feedback on technical difficulties to the IT department at the headquarters of BSF.

Experience & training:

  • A degree in education, pedagogy, library science, social work or a related field is preferred.
  • At least three years of professional experience in the field of education, including expertise in curriculum development.
  • Experience in implementing training and mediation
  • Interest in content selection and innovative technologies that promote access to information, culture and education.

Qualities required :

  • An interest in digital education and new educational tools, platforms and technologies is strongly desired.
  • Rigor, organization and reliability. Ability to work independently with a sense of responsibility.
  • Able to adapt, manage priorities and act in a pragmatic way in a busy work environment.
  • Strong skills in interpersonal relations and communication. Capable of coordinating and collaborating with external stakeholders.
  • High sense of integrity and honesty.
  • Master of English or French
  • Arabic mother tongue

RECRUITMENT CONDITIONS

  • Type of contract : National contract ( under Moroccan law )
  • Duration of the contract : 12 months
  • Start date : As soon as possible
  • Monthly gross compensation : According to BSF salary grid and experience
  • Location : Marrakech or Agadir ( to be defined later ) with many trips to be planned in the region and in the country.
