Projects Assistant – FADAI (Contractual), Washington DC, United States At International Monetary Fund (IMF)

The TADAT Secretariat of the Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) is seeking a contractual projects assistant to support its projects.

Tasks and duties include:

  •  Assists with information and knowledge gathering from internal and external sources. Research, collect and compile information on topical TADAT-related issues.
  •  Create, maintain and update quantitative and qualitative TADAT or relevant statistical databases.
  •  Process, consolidate, and transform data sets and information within and between TADAT databases.
  •  Manage the TADAT Portal including analyzing enquiries and responding to or channeling enquiries appropriately.
  •  Work on special projects.

Qualifications:

A combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of a secondary school education, supplemented by a minimum of four years of relevant experience, is required.

In addition to the above, the selected candidates must have:

  •  High level planning, organization, and multitasking skills as well as the ability to prioritize assignments.
  •  Excellent technological skills including knowledge of general statistical packages such as STATA or SPSS, or technical computing software such as MATLAB or advanced Excel functions.
  •  Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with Fund staff and external stakeholders at all levels.
  •  Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, to learn quickly, and to work under tight deadlines.
  •  Knowledge of other languages, in addition to English, would be an added advantage.

This is a one-year contractual appointment. Contractual appointments at the IMF are renewable for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, pending incumbent’s performance, budget availability and continuous business need.

Only candidates who are currently residing in the Washington DC metro area will be considered.
