Movement Cooperation Officer (for Philippines Nationals Only) At International Committee of the Red Cross


Movement Cooperation Officer contributes to developing and implementing the delegation’s objectives for cooperation with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (the Movement) in line with the ICRC’s Movement policies. S/he contributes to building positive relationships and strong partnership between the ICRC and the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), specifically with the PRC chapters in Luzon and Visayas. S/he contributes to implementing the operational partnership between the ICRC and the PRC by working closely with PRC National Headquarters to develop procedures, guidelines, and agreements to support the engagement. S/he works closely with ICRC Finance to ensure PRC expenses are in compliance to ICRC guidelines. S/he mostly be stationed at PRC National Headquarters.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributes to implementing the operational partnership between the ICRC and the PRC by working closely with PRC NHQ to develop procedures, guidelines, and agreements between the two institutions.
  • Supports the ICRC in reviewing and carrying out partnership compliance of PRC.
  • Provides support to any ICRC operational engagement with PRC chapters in Luzon and Visayas.
  • Examines and process all submitted PRC expenses in accordance with ICRC established guidelines.
  • Supports the ICRC in implementing organizational and program strengthening initiatives of PRC NHQ.
  • Implements and supports PRC activities that delivers safe and principled humanitarian response in areas affected by conflict in Luzon and Visayas.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • University degree, preferably in social sciences or other relevant fields
  • At least 3 years work experience in a field relevant to Movement Cooperation or any other Movement Component (National Society and/or International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
  • Knowledge of the socio-economic context of Luzon and Visayas in particular
  • Proven program management skills and team building competencies.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and in local language(s) * Confirmed management skills * Good analytical skills
