Position Summary:

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is looking for a Mechanic who will be Under the supervision of the garage manager, the mechanic is a maintenance agent for PNKB motor vehicles and motorcycles. As such, he is responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of the machines made available to him in the garage or at any location designated to him by his line manager.

He ensures the proper use of the tools and service equipment made available to him to facilitate the tasks assigned to him as part of his work.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and inspection on the designated vehicle and/or motorcycle;
  • Analyze and diagnose problems with components without being limited to them;
  • Be responsible for the proper repair of vehicles (auto – motorcycle) while respecting the standards established by RFO logistics;
  • Established exit vouchers for parts
  • Perform all other tasks related to the proper operation of the garage;
  • Report the condition of each vehicle and inform the supervisor.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Baccalaureate or Brevet in automobile mechanics;
  • 5 years of experience as a mechanic with a specialty in “Toyota land cruiser”;
  • Good driving skills with valid license;
  • Good physical strength (being able to lift weights alone);
  • Basic knowledge of elementary computer science;
  • Be reliable and responsible.
  • Work autonomy with obtaining results.

  • Demonstrate good team spirit, trust and a sense of responsibility
  • Have a sense of organization, responsiveness, rigor and adaptation.
  • Have a strong ability to resist work stress.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with team members
