Mission
The Logistics Coordination will be in charge of launching all the logistical activities that will be carried out in the areas affected by the earthquake in which MdM intervenes. In particular, the logistics coordinator will be responsible for applying and supervising logistics procedures and supporting MdM partners in Morocco, as well as technical supervision of logistics activities, purchases and applied security.

Responsibilities
Logistics
Assessment of logistical needs and capacities for the proper development of the mission.
Selection, training and monitoring of national logger.
Define / adapt the necessary tools to achieve the general objectives, in close collaboration with project coordination.
Training and strengthening the capacities of local partners
Ensure the implementation, monitoring and respect of purchasing, communication, stock and vehicle management procedures.
Ensure the overall management of the supply chain of the response in the area.
Define the main and secondary means of communication ( back-up ) available in the intervention area.
Guarantee the minimum standards of safety, water supply, electricity and air conditioning in the guest house and office.
Establish the transport strategy appropriate to the context for the development of activities.
Security
Continuously assess security conditions in the intervention area, and ensure risk analysis and minimum operational safety standards.
Ensure that the safety rules are established and ensure follow-up on team movements.
Guarantee a security briefing regarding movements and communication channels with expatriate and national personnel.
Collect information on security incidents received from the general coordination and ensure their follow-up.
Coordination, representation and reports
Establish a good network of contacts to facilitate emergency intervention ( partners, suppliers, other NGOs, etc ) and provide logistical support if necessary.
Ensure close collaboration with MdM-Belgium in everything related to logistics and security.
Training
Required: University degree
It will be valued:

Languages:
Essential: French high level.
Desirable: Arab Dariya
Computing: User level Office package
Experience
At least 5 years of experience on the ground in emergency situations. At least 3 years of experience in positions with similar responsibilities and in planning, designing, managing and monitoring NGO programs in fragile settings or complex emergencies.
Desirable experience in project planning, execution and evaluation. Team coordination experience.
Experience in applying security policies in conflict zones.
Competences

Doctors of the World salary tables. Group Category 4. Medical Coordinator
2-month contract, with the possibility of extension
