About AHAC:
Amal Healing and Advocacy Center (AHAC) is an organization led by women specialized in empowering women and raising their capabilities. It aims to create a safe society for women in which they enjoy their full rights without discrimination or violence.
The organization seeks to achieve equality and prevent violence against women, whether within the family or within society as a whole, through the following:
- Contribute to making a change in the status of women in Syrian society and support them by increasing their awareness of their rights and opportunities through advocacy campaigns, awareness-raising sessions, and meetings with decision-makers and key and influential people, whether in the refugee community or inside Syria.
- Providing psychosocial support services by providing safe spaces for women, girls and children to carry out social activities that relieve life stresses due to asylum.
- Providing specialized services in the psychological and legal field for women affected by violence in all its forms. Especially in times of wars and crises, especially survivors of detention and sexual violence, families of victims of enforced disappearance and victims of human rights violations in all its forms.
- Carrying out capacity building activities and empowering women at all levels, whether in the political, legal, administrative or professional fields, to be able to truly participate in public affairs or at the family level.
The aim of establishing the organization is to contribute to building a Syrian society based on justice, equality and rights for all individuals, especially women and marginalized groups, including those with disabilities and those affected by violations, and responding in particular to their needs related to psychological and social support and legal advice.
The organization was established in 2014 in the Turkish city of Antakya, located near the Syrian-Turkish border, which hosts a large number of refugees from different regions in Syria.

Job Purpose
The Logistics Assistant provides essential support in the areas of procurement, logistics, and transport ensuring streamlined operations within the center. Reporting directly to the operations manager, the assistant plays an integral role in ensuring that necessary goods and services are procured in a timely, efficient, and compliant manner, that transport support is arranged for team members and the center’s operations and that logistical arrangements are completed in support of the center’s activities.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibility 1: Support in Procurement Activities
- Assist in obtaining quotations, liaising with suppliers, and preparing purchase orders.
- Help in maintaining procurement files, ensuring all documentation is complete and filed appropriately.
- Support in market surveys to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
Key Responsibility 2: Logistics Assistance
- Support in coordinating transportation activities, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Help in tracking shipments, ensuring that they reach their intended destinations.
- Support in fleet management tasks as needed, including vehicle checks and scheduling maintenance.
Key Responsibility 3: Warehouse Support
- Assist in warehousing tasks such as labeling, shelving, and cataloging of items.
- Help in conducting inventory checks and in updating stock records.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, reporting any discrepancies or needs to the officer in charge.
Key Responsibility 4: Administrative Support
- Prepare and maintain routine data, records, and reports related to operational activities.
- Attend departmental meetings, taking minutes and maintaining documentation.
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure smooth inter-departmental logistical operations.
Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education/Work Experience/Languages)

Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in: Economics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3 years at least of work experience.
- Good Command in English Language (4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing).
- Good Command of Turkish Language (4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing).
Desirable:
- Master’s degree in: Economics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 years at least of work experience.
- Turkish Nationals.
