SUMMARY OF L’OFFRE

The International Bureau of the Rights of Children (IBCR), a Canadian NGO dedicated to the protection and promotion of the rights of the child, is researching, as part of its voluntary cooperation program, a[e] liaison officer[e] to monitor activities in Peru.

Through this mandate, share your skills and expertise in order to accompany the cooperating people and’ to ensure the follow-up during the course of activities aimed at promoting the capacity building of partners, as well as the development of the voluntary cooperation program in Peru and collaborate for the’ achievement of the objectives set within the framework of the project. The mandate includes the strengthening of strategies, the elaboration and revision of’tools and the support to the implementation of’action plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The volunteer will be responsible for :

Support partners in :

● Accompanying people cooperating in the process of’ arrival and return to his country of’ origin, such as administrative and financial processes, as well as the logistics of’accommodation, transport and’accueil with the partner ;

● Accompanying cooperating people in Peru to promote compliance with’action priorities, objectives, etc, work plans and timetables established in correlation with the guidance provided by the regional manager and in line with the objectives set out in the cooperation programme ;

● Ensure compliance with administrative and financial procedures during the preparation of activities by the CPs present in Peru ;

● Present the dossiers d’achat conforme with the regional manager for validation and approval ;

● Provide all administrative and financial information necessary for the’financial analysis of the headquarters and the regional manager

Other missions related to the PCV project :

● Support the coordination and logistics of events related to the Social Laboratory ;

● Collaborate in the elaboration of specific terms of reference of cooperation mandates in collaboration with the regional manager ;

● Ensure the’ accompaniment in the framework of the visits of the’ team of the PCV on the ground ;

● Inform the regional manager of national events allowing a better visibility of the PCV;

● Write’ progress reports on the activities implemented in collaboration with the cooperating persons in Peru and the regional manager;

● Write articles on the work done and the situation of children’s rights in Peru and document the experience of voluntary cooperation ;

● Participate in communication and awareness-raising activities under the PCV;

● At the request of its line manager, perform any other tasks related to its skills and the proper functioning of the PCV in Peru.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES

REQUIREMENTS :

Technical skills :

– Bachelor or master’s degree in project management or equivalent

– Minimum of 2 years of’significant work experience in functions related to the mandate

– Experience in’organization and’animation of’events, an asset

– Experience in developing and managing partnerships

– Perfect command of written and spoken French

– Excellent writing skills and impeccable spelling in French. The person recruited must be able to write, review, comment and correct texts in French.

– Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and tools of the Outlook environment (Teams, mail, SharePoint, Forms, etc.) and Google (Google Docs, Google Drive, etc, Gmail, etc.).

Human skills :

– Great faculty of’adaptation and ability to show flexibility in the face of change

– Excellent interpersonal and participatory skills

– Ability to work as a team or independently

– Ability to plan work, set priorities, perform multiple tasks head on and be proactive

– Sensitivity to cultural differences and’equality of genders

– Promotion of’a culture of’learning and sharing of knowledge within the’team of the’partner organization and with other volunteers

About the PCV program

The project for the integral strengthening of the rights of the child’ (PCV), implemented by the International Bureau of the Rights of the Children (IBCR), is, aims at improving the well-being and protection of children, especially girls, as well as promoting their rights worldwide, in a sustainable way.

D’a duration of seven years (2020-2027), this project is part of Canada’s Voluntary Cooperation Program and will enable more than 250 volunteer professionals to be deployed in 11 countries.
