Organizational framework

The main objective of FAO country offices, headed by an FAO Representative, is to help governments develop policies, programs and projects to achieve food security and reduce hunger and malnutrition, help develop the agricultural, fisheries, forestry sectors and use their environmental and natural resources in a sustainable way. This vacancy is part of the project approved by the Green Climate Fund “ Chile REDD-plus Payment for Results period 2014-2016 ” than FAO, in association with the National Forest Corporation of Chile ( CONAF ), it will execute to increase the resilience of ecosystems and native forest, and contribute to mitigating climate change in Chile. The project will contribute to reducing social vulnerability,environmental and economic that generates climate change, desertification, land degradation and drought, in the forests and local communities that depend on them in 6 regions of the country ( Maule, Biobío, Ñuble, Araucanía, Los Ríos and Los Lagos ). Hierarchical dependency

Under the general supervision of the national project coordinator, the direct supervision of the project technical assistant, the technical advice of the head/to the CONAF Department of Forests and Climate Change or to whom it delegates and the administrative management of the Regional Technical Specialist.

Field of specialization

This or this professional aims to carry out the work of Technical Inspector of Works ( ITO ) for the construction works of the Regional Nursery of Plants, Remehue, located in the Osorno Commune, Osorno province, whose objective is to contribute to the production of native plants for the activities and goals in the Los Lagos Region of the afforestation and revegetation Program in communes/prioritized areas ( MT4 ) and Strengthening of ecological restoration in communes / prioritized areas ( Mt5 ) of the project + Forests. On the other hand, the professional must support the technical and administrative processes of the works associated with the work of enabling the nursery ( constructions, infrastructures, basic services facilities ), ensuring that the execution of general infrastructures and activities,are framed in the current regulations and in the permits issued for it.

Tasks and responsibilities

Exercise as Technical Inspector of Works Construction of Regional Nursery for Plant Production Remehue, located on Route U 165 2 km. inland from Route 5 South to Mulpulmo, Osorno Commune.

For the above, the specific objectives to be achieved are the following:

  •  Support in the administration of works contracts that are established as part of their execution, acting as guarantor of their inspection.
  •  Ensure compliance with all the requirements made explicit in the technical and administrative background of works contracts and supervise that they are fully complied with, including current regulations.
  •  Survey, study and analysis of the project and all the bidding bases generated for it and, if necessary, carry out in a timely manner, the technical modifications necessary during the execution of the works, for your good term. All of the above under compliance with current regulations.
  •  Permanent support at the place of execution of the works.
  •  Preparation of biweekly works reports, where the progress of the works in progress is recorded, information regarding the supervision of the works is delivered, improvements are proposed or any modification is reported on site for its good development.
  •  Preparation of reports with weekly information.
  •  Administration and registration of worksbook
  •  Apoyo en la inspección técnica de obras menores en centro de acopio Chin Chin, ubicado en calle 27 de Abril s/n, Puerto Montt, pudiendo acudir una vez a la semana o bien cuando sea requerido durante la presente contratación.
  •  Verificar e informar respecto de avances de obras o productos para solicitud de pagos y recepción final de obras.
  •  Participar de reuniones, ya sea presenciales o remotas enmarcadas en los avances e inspección de las obras.

En términos generales, las obras a inspeccionar como Construcción de Vivero Regional de Producción de Plantas Remehue, son las siguientes:

  •  Urbanización, que incluye obras de agua potable y alcantarillado, movimientos de tierra (incluidos rellenos), fundaciones para posterior instalación de contenedores, portón, vías interiores, principalmente.
  •  Construcción de sombreaderos, oficinas, patio de trabajo.
  •  Descarga e instalación de módulos y bodegas contenedor.
  •  Ejecución de proyecto eléctrico (según proyecto elaborado por profesional)
  •  Instalación de invernaderos de 750 m2 aprox. (se compra a proveedor según especificaciones y ellos se encargan de instalar).
  •  Ejecución de proyecto de riego para invernadero y sombreaderos (según proyecto elaborado por profesional)

LOS CANDIDATOS SERÁN EVALUADOS CON ARREGLO A LOS SIGUIENTES CRITERIOS:

Requisitos mínimos

  •  Título universitario de Ingeniero Constructor, Ingeniero Civil, Arquitecto, Constructor Civil u otro profesional del campo de la construcción.
  •  Experiencia laboral en al menos 3 obras realizando labores de Inspección Técnica de Obras (ITO), supervisor o encargado de calidad de obras.
  •  Experiencia laboral y conocimiento de obras de construcción ejecutadas en la región de Los Ríos o Los Lagos, al menos 2 años.
  •  Nacionalidad chilena o residente en el País con permiso de trabajo regular.
  •  Dominio de español (nivel C).

Criterios de selección

  •  Experiencia laboral en al menos 3 obras realizando labores de Inspección Técnica de Obras (ITO), supervisor o encargado de calidad de obras.
  •  Experiencia laboral y conocimiento de obras de construcción ejecutadas en la región de Los Ríos o Los Lagos, al menos 2 años.
  •  Estudios o capacitaciones relacionadas con la calidad y/o inspección técnica de obras, al menos 2.
  •  Conocimiento y manejo de Autocad para revisar y/o modificar planos.
