DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION :
Under the responsibility of the desk manager, you support the heads of desk DRC, RCA, etc, Nigeria and Madagascar in the management of their missions and more particularly in the monitoring of grants from public donors and private foundations as well as on the monitoring of projects. You work in close collaboration with the health referents of the pole and the support services of the headquarters and you are responsible for the’ supervision of a trainee.
Your main responsibilities are :
Strategy, monitoring and exploratory missions
- Ensure the monitoring and the’ analysis of the contexts of the countries of your perimeter and the countries where the’on would like to open a new mission: interactive mapping of countries/programmes, mapping of actors, etc, identification of the needs and resources of the actors, security mapping
- Participate in the preparation of new exploratory missions: analysis of the geopolitical context, participation in the meeting of partners, operational planning, search for potential funding in the area, production of reference documents
- Contribute to the review of the strategies of the missions of the Africa cluster
- Contribute to the development of mission programmatic strategies
Support for project management
- Ensure a functional link with the grants offer missions and establish together the entroplanning of the sending of proposals, amendments, reports and other donor documents and ensure compliance with the deadlines for submitting project proposals and delivering interim and final reports
- Contribute to and coordinate the review, finalization and submission of reports, project proposals and other donor documents
- Act as a’interface between the members of the MdM network and the field teams for any question related to current funding contracts or potential project proposals to be submitted
- Participate in the review of contracts with partners, donors and members of the network
- Disseminate information on the essential points of donor contracts and projects to the missions
- Support desk managers in the search for funding and in the preparation of the mission financing strategy
- Participate in the recruitment of grant officers and MEAL advisors
- Support field missions in the definition of their monitoring system, in the implementation of’ surveys,’ studies and evaluations of projects
- Drafting and disseminating minutes of meetings
- Participate in the briefings of the teams of the missions of your perimeter
- Launch translations of documents and ensure their dissemination
Accompaniment of trainee
- In connection with the’other responsible for’ support of the Africa pole, accompany and ensure regular monitoring of the trainee in the realization of his missions
- Conduct a mid-stage and end-of-stage assessment
- Recruit the next intern
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS :
Status : Wage-earner
Contract: Fixed term contract (9 months) / Full time
- Post to be filled as soon as possible
- Monthly gross salary of 2,822 euros
- Status of position : employee
- Equivalent 13th month paid in 2 times – from 6 months of’seniority of actual work
- Mutual (60% participation of MdM and 40% of the employee)
- 22.5 RTT /year
- 5 Weeks paid leave /year
- Tickets restaurant d’a value of 9.00 euros (participation up to 60% of MdM)
- 50% public transit ticket refund%
- Telework agreement subject to’eligibility of your position : 110 Days of telework per year (on average 2.5 days of telework per week) with the obligation to work face-to-face at least 5 days per month

PROFILE SEARCH :
- Master in international solidarity
- Experience of’ writing reports and proposals for humanitarian projects, in connection with donors, and knowledge of the latter
- Experience in NGO d’at least 1 year in grant management or in project management, ideally on an international field within’an NGO
- Mastery of the project cycle
- Very good writing and synthesis skills
- Languages : French and English compulsory
- You adhere to the values and militant positioning of Doctors of the World.
