In France and abroad in nearly 30 countries, our actions are aimed at facilitating access to the health system by working on 5 priority themes structuring our struggles and our advocacy for health and health care : emergencies and crises, sexual and reproductive health, risk reduction, migration, rights and health and health-environment.
The Africa cluster is currently composed of’a pole manager and four desk managers as well as two’s programme support officers and three health referents. The activities of the cluster focus on Emergencies and Crises, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Risk Reduction (drug use and sex work) programs.
DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION :
From the offices of our mission in Ivory Coast and under the supervision of the head of the Africa cluster based at the headquarters, we, you provide technical support to project teams to ensure the quality of health practices within programmes in their definition and implementation. You have a functional link with the head of the quality of practices division of the health and advocacy department (DSP).
The geographical scope of this post currently covers the following countries: Ethiopia, Tanzania and Burkina Faso. Depending on the needs, the portfolio can be reviewed and support can be requested on the other missions of the cluster, namely Nigeria, Madagascar, Cote d’Ivoire, DRC and CAR.
Your main responsibilities are as follows :
- Contribute to the development of the operational strategy and the advocacy strategy of the programmes and participate in the development and construction of the projects
- Participate in the definition of indicators, monitoring and evaluation as well as’ analysis and valorization of health data
- Oversee the planning and monitoring of health activities
- Contribute to the development, implementation and adaptation of the tools, protocols and reference frameworks for the programmes
- Ensure the monitoring and’analysis of the health situation and health policies on the countries in your portfolio
- Supervise and analyse the management of pharmaceuticals
- Participate in the recruitment of health personnel and team briefings
- Provide technical support to ensure the health of teams
- Represent the’association at conferences
- Intervene in internal training MdM
- Contribute to the writing of reports or scientific articles’
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS :
Status : Wage-earner
Contract : Fixed term contract
Duration : 12 Months
- Post to be filled as soon as possible
- Monthly gross salary of 3,362 euros
- Equivalent 13th month paid in 2 times – from 6 months of’seniority of actual work
- ’expatriation premium of 10% of gross salary per month
- Support for transport (home – mission), visas, vaccines
- Accommodation in a collective house or housing allowance
- 22.5 RTT /year
- 5 Weeks paid leave /year
- Mutual (60% participation of MdM and 40% of the employee)
- Insurance (repatriation.).
