POINT was established by a group of humanitarian workers, and it headquarter is in Gaziantep, Turkey. As a non-governmental organization, the co-founders of PONT realized the crucial capacity gaps and needs for the civil society and communities to play a greater role in improving the response to the humanitarian crisis and better contribute to the stabilization of their conflict-affected country. POINT provides capacity development to the local civil society and communities actors as well as local staff in INGOs. This is to strengthen their voice, increase their impact and bring about the development of diverse, inclusive, and independent civil society and communities.

Job Details

Position Title: Field Project officer

Duty Station: Idlib -Jisr al-Shughur

Line manager : Project coordinator

Contract Duration :10 Months

Introduction to the Position:

The field officer is responsible for following up on the daily project activities, and participating in planning and implementing field project team all project activities based on the project timeline, and ensuring the achievement of the project’s general objectives and deliverables in the highest quality.

Main Tasks:

• Follow up on the tasks related to the implementation of the project in cooperation and coordination with the Sr.Officer and field project coordinator.
• Preparing all training requirements, workshops, and field coordination visits, in cooperation with the rest of the project team.
• Work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to support monitoring and evaluation activities.
• Coordination with the logistic team to secure the logistical needs regarding the project.
• Facilitate and conduct the training and prepare everything related to it.
• Implementation of follow-up visits to the expansion/ maintenance activities of RCs.
• Executing any other tasks assigned to him by the direct supervisor.
• Adhere to all point organization policies and abide by administrative orders and disciplinary procedures in the event of any violations.
• A pledge to abide by the zero-tolerance policy adopted by the Point organization in cases of sexual exploitation and abuse, and direct reporting in the event of any violation in this regard.

Skills & Experience

• University degree in engineering, business administration, economics or related field.
• At least two years of experience in humanitarian work in similar tasks, and project management experience is preferred.
• Project life cycle experience.
• Highly organized and with the ability to characterize and solve problems.
• Knowing the general situation in the work areas.
• Good knowledge of both Arabic and English, reading and writing.
• Familiarity with using Office programs.
• Good reporting skills.
