The Emergency Response Field Officer is a critical member of the humanitarian aid team responsible for the effective implementation, coordination, and monitoring of humanitarian projects in the field. This role involves working closely with local communities, partners, and stakeholders to ensure the delivery oftimely and quality assistance.

Emergency Response Field Officer, GazaYour main responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-activities of assigned humanitarian projects in accordance with project plans and objectives with partner organizations.
  • Ensure that partner project activities are carried out efficietly, effectively, and in compliance with humanitarian principles and standards.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with partners, communities, local leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to identify the secific needs and vulnerabilities.
  • Support partners to coordinate logistics, including procurement, transportation, and distribution of relief items and materials. Ensuring proper storage and inventory management of project supplies and assets.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plans to track partner project progress and outcomes. Including collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing timely feedback to improve project performance.
  • Maintain awareness of the security situation in the field and ad heretosafety protocols and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of project personnel and beneficiaries.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to field-based project staff and community volunteers and promote capacity building and skill development among local partners and beneficiaries.
  • Collaboratewithotherhumanitarianorganizations,governmentagencies, and local partners to ensure a coordinated and effective response.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Country Director.

To be successful you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevantfield (e.g.,humanitarian studies,development, social sciences).
  • Three years’ work experience in the NGO field
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good in written and spoken English.
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good computer skills (MS Office)
  • Key qualities: diligence, attention to detail, efficiency, team player, professionality, solution-oriented, as well as ability to work under pressure, with tight deadlines, in complex environments.
  • Good networkingand communication skills.
  • Driving license with flexibility to conduct periodic partner monitoring trips to Gaza.
