Zoom on the Operational Development and Partnerships Emergency Service

The Operational Development and Partnerships Emergency Department is made up of 4 people. The mission of its members is the preparation and implementation of humanitarian responses to emergency crises or protracted crises, support for the development of new programs on missions where the First International Emergency is already established and prospecting and maintenance of new financial and non-financial partnerships to support and/or expand the activities of First International Emergency.

And the Emergency Department in all of this?

As Emergency Officer, you will be in charge of strengthening the emergency response capacities of the First International Emergency and of organizing the exploratory missions planned as part of the organization’s positioning on new contexts / countries.

You will carry out these missions partly at Headquarters, for the planning and supervision phases, and partly in the field, as responsible at local level for operations or the establishment of mechanisms. To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows :

Capacity building for emergency response

Preparation and supervision of exploratory missions from Headquarters

Coordination of humanitarian emergency responses and / or the conduct of exploratory missions as Head of Mission ( in the field )

Support for operations to facilitate the absorption of newly opened missions ( from Headquarters )

Participation in the strategy and development of the service

What you need to succeed

Training

You can justify a higher diploma ( min. Master 2 or equivalent ) in a field linked to humanitarian action: project management, technical training linked to one of our intervention sectors, human resources management, financial management, etc.

Experience

You have at least three years of field experience in international NGOs in coordinating projects. Experience in project management, multi-sectoral diagnostics and safety management is essential. Have you ever held the post of Head of Mission or equivalent in an international NGO? It will be greatly appreciated. Have you ever worked with First International Emergency? It will be an undeniable asset!

Skills

You have a practical knowledge of humanitarian programs and the main institutional donors, you are able to evolve in unstable contexts and in very limited comfort living conditions. You have very good oral expression and excellent editorial skills.

Qualities required

You show good relationships, ease of communication, both in writing and in oral, and you have a taste for teamwork. You demonstrate leadership and the ability to make decisions, reliability and sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, responsiveness and adaptability. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.

Languages

French and English have no secrets for you ? So much the better, these are two essential languages for this position ! If you also speak Spanish, it may be the little extra that will make a difference !

PUI will offer you

Status: CUSTOM.STATUT

Salary: 3200 EUR gross monthly over 12 months

Medical cover: 80% of the Health and Welfare mutual

Support: Support for 50% of the transport ticket and up to 60% of the Tickets Restaurant ( with a face value of 8 € )

Rest: 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month ( 37h / week )
