Membership of the UNHCR-DRC Resettlement Waiting List
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking experts with experience in case work and/or case review experience for the UNHCR-DRC (Resettlement Roster) deployment scheme.
The objective of the Resettlement Roster is to mobilize qualified and committed resettlement experts according to the requirements of the UN Refugee Agency – UNHCR in a timely and effective manner, strengthening UNHCR’s capacity to meet global resettlement needs.
We are looking for qualified experts who are willing to work effectively in a context of stress and difficulty in Latin America.
The following qualifications will be considered as a requirement to be a member of the Resettlement Roster:
- Previous individual case work experience (interview skills, counseling skills)
- Legal experience through education and / or work experience
- Knowledge of the legal framework for refugees, asylum seekers and statelessness
- Experience in the following areas:
- Resettlement case processing – interview and case review
- The determination and evaluation of the best interests of the child
- Determination of refugee status
- Complementary routes
- Durable solutions
- Knowledge and ability to work on the integration of age, gender and diversity will be an advantage.
Skills and experiences required for resettlement case review and processing profiles:
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Previous experience working on Latin American cases will be considered an advantage
Additional experience required only for the reviewer profile:
- Previous experience in the revision of Resettlement Registration Forms (RRF) for presentation OR instead of this minimum 3 years of experience in drafting RF for Latin American cases

We promote an inclusive and diverse group of experts, made up of 75 nationalities and an age range of 25 to 73 years. We encourage all qualified experts to submit their request.

Application process
To be considered for the Resettlement Roster the request must include the following:
- Form P11 in English. (Send a complete P11 form instead of a CV on your application)
- Presentation letter (Maximum 1 page) in English
The card must specify the skills that make you fit to be a member of the Resettlement Roster.
- Three references
During the application process, we will ask you to send the names and emails of three references, including at least one current or previous supervisor. It is recommended that you inform your application to the Resettlement List in advance to avoid delays in processing your application.
- Performance evaluation (if applicable)
Candidates who have worked for UNHCR or another UN agency should submit their latest performance evaluation report.
Form P11, cover letter, and performance evaluation must be uploaded to the web application system. Click “ apply for position ” to submit the request. We only accept requests received through our web application system.
Applications must be submitted in English. Applications in other languages will be rejected.
Applications will be accepted continuously until August 31, 2024 and will be considered in mid-February. It should not be applied more than once in 2024.
