As a Country Director.eur, you ensure the strategic direction of the’all work in the country. This includes your participation in defining and implementing the’Oxfam strategy in CAR, both humanitarian responses and the strategic direction of the Good Governance programme, advocacy and campaigns are. You will be responsible for the continuous improvement in terms of quality and’ impact of programs, as well as the effective financial and human resources management according to Oxfam principles, policies and values.
WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
- Responsible for development of the country’s strategic plan with the support and under the responsibility of the Deputy Director of Oxfam in Africa and the Country Governance Group (GPG), taking into account their opinions and feedback.
- Responsible for the strategic management of the’Oxfam programme in the country, including development, advocacy, and humanitarian programming to maximize our influence and impact
- Representation of’Oxfam and the country programme at national and global level. Building relationships and developing networks for’an effective change, both internally and externally, to maximize our capacity for’influence
- Management of the’ Leadership Team Country, in charge of leading the work in the country, covering HR, finance, programme management and advocacy, and, by ensuring that those responsible in the’Team comply with the policies and procedures of’Oxfam, including but not limited to the Code of Conduct, Performance Management, Security, Security, Health and Safety and local legislation.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?
- Competitive salary package;
- Fixed term contract of 2 years renewable;
- Date of taking office: beginning of June 2024;
- Workplace: Bangui, CAR with national and international travel;
- Unaccompanied post;
- Rest and Recovery of 5 days every 12 weeks and support of a return trip to the place of residence every 6 months;
- Housing and perdiem throughout the duration of the mission;
- Deadline for receipt of applications: 2 April 2024.

Criteria indispensable
- Proven experience in leading and motivating’multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong senior management and management experience in the development and delivery of high quality programs, influence and humanitarian strategy, with and through partners or directly, in a difficult geographical area.
- Proven experience in representing’an organization to partners, government agencies, private sector organizations, media and funders at the national and international levels.
- Experience in safety management, risks and compliance with the law in an international’ONG context.
