OBJECTIVE ATTACHED TO THE POSITION:

Provide various specialized assistance activities to plan, monitor and analyze the financial performance of projects efficiently to optimize the use of financial resources.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (indicative and non-exhaustive list):

  1. Review budget proposals, monitor and analyze project financial performance and make recommendations in accordance with WFP financial policies and procedures and best practices, to support financial analysis and value for money.
  2. Provide in-depth analysis of fund balances and donations highlighting surpluses and deficits and propose corrective actions, in order to contribute to the optimization of resources and facilitate decision-making.
  3. Help manage supply sources to ensure efficient monitoring to avoid supply disruptions, remedy them if necessary and maximize operational efficiency.
  4. Contribute to the improvement of internal procedures and systems and the design of tools to facilitate general planning, expenditure forecasting and budget management as well as monitoring the use of resources.
  5. Collect and analyze data for the timely development of clear and coherent reports to submit to internal and external partners for good decision-making.
  6. Maintain liaison with different units and field offices regarding matters related to management of project funds and related procedures to clarify possible discrepancies and optimize utilization of resources.
  7. Guide other staff members and contribute to their development in the areas of budget planning, funds management and operational planning, in order to promote continuing education and harmonization of services provided.
  8. Apply standard emergency preparedness practices to verify that WFP is able to respond quickly and deploy necessary resources to affected areas at the onset of crises.

EXPECTED RESULTS

  1. Participation in the programming of funds received by creating the required documents.
  2. Contribution to the management of funds allocated to Cash transfers through the monthly and ad hoc production of reports to share with the various field offices and activity managers.
  3. Participation in pipeline management and reporting activities by supporting the collection and analysis of data from different sources to ensure that the Budget and Programming unit submits consistent and correct reports both internally and externally. outside.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Formation:

  • Undergraduate university degree (Bac+3) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Project Management or other related and relevant field.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in financial management, project management or budget planning.
  • Have in-depth skills in statistical data analysis and report production.
  • Have a good command of the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Have contributed to the production of operational/budgetary planning or other analytical reports to support decision-making at different levels.

Languages:

  • Fluency in French (Level C) and Knowledge of English (level B) are required.
