Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Attendee Acquisition Officer to join our Attendee Acquisitions team. The ideal candidate will have strong sales and marketing skills, excellent communication abilities, and the drive to identify and secure attendees for our events. As an Attendee Acquisition Officer, you will play a key role in achieving attendance targets and enhancing the success of our conferences, seminars, exhibitions and other events.
Key Responsibilities:
Delegate Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic plan to identify and acquire delegates for upcoming events.
Lead Generation: Generate leads, prospect potential attendees, by identifying Diaspora Organizations across continents through research.
Outreach and Engagement: Reach out to potential delegates through various communication channels, such as email, chat tools, phone calls, social media, and networking events.
Conversion: Use persuasive and consultative techniques to convert leads into registered attendees. Provide information about event benefits, content, and value propositions.
Relationship Building: Establish, build, maintain relationships with prospective attendees to promote Global Diaspora Confederation’s mission, objectives while nurturing their interest and securing their commitment to attend the event.
Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, prospects, and delegate registrations.
Target Achievement: Meet or exceed delegate acquisition targets for each event, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
Market Research: Stay informed about trends, and market conditions to refine delegate acquisition strategies.
Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to align marketing campaigns and promotional efforts with delegate acquisition goals.
Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from registered attendees to improve future delegate acquisition processes and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, or delegate acquisition for events or conferences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of events management and industry-specific knowledge (a plus).
