Focus on our activities in Chad

Our mission in Chad has existed since 2004. PUI is developing its integrated approach there with health and nutrition which are at the heart of its interventions. PUI is deployed in the east of the country and provides support for the prevention and fight against malnutrition, but also intervenes in other emergencies (floods, Sudan crisis). Today, the mission is working on 4 projects.

And the Administrative & Financial Coordinator in all this?

As Administrative & Financial Coordinator, you will be responsible for the good financial, accounting and budgetary management of the mission as well as the management of administrative and legal files. You will be the referent on the subject on the mission both internally and externally (donors, authorities, NGOs, etc.).

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Financial, budgetary and accounting management: You will be responsible for all aspects relating to finances, including budgetary and accounting elements, as well as the mission’s cash flow.
  • Administrative and legal management: You will supervise administrative files and guarantee that the status and operation of the mission are in legal compliance with the requirements of the country of intervention.
  • Representation: You will represent the association to partners, authorities and various local stakeholders involved in the financial, administrative, legal and human resources areas of the mission. You will be pro-active in the development of PUI’s inter-NGO financial network (administrative, financial, legal, HR, etc.).
  • Coordination: You will centralize and disseminate information within the mission and at headquarters for everything relating to the financial, administrative, legal and human resources areas of the mission and consolidate internal and external reporting in these same areas.

The challenges that await you:

1 – Support the mission on the diversification of project portfolios (emergency and development) 2 – Support for field teams (skills development, training, mobility) 3 – Deployment of the OHADA system

What you will need to succeed

  • Training : You can provide proof of a higher diploma (min. Master 2 or equivalent) in financial management/accounting. Training in human resources management and/or project management will also be appreciated.
  • Experience : You have at least three years of experience in financial management/accounting. Have you already held positions related to these areas of activity in an international NGO? This will be greatly appreciated. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? This will be an undeniable asset!
  • Skills : You master financial management and team management, you have in-depth knowledge of the procedures of the main institutional donors. Excel has no secrets for you, and you master SAGA accounting software perfectly.
  • Required qualities : You demonstrate good interpersonal skills, ease of communication, both written and oral, and you have a taste for teamwork. You demonstrate the ability to make decisions, reliability and a sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, responsiveness and adaptability. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.
  • Languages : French and English hold no secrets for you? Good, it’s essential for this position! If you also speak Arabic, this will also be an undeniable asset.

PUI will offer you

  • Status: Executive on Fixed-Term Contract
  • Gross monthly salary: 2,650.00 – 3,130.00 EUR depending on your experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester of seniority with PUI
  • Insurance including medical and complementary health coverage, 24-hour assistance, repatriation and foresight
  • Accommodation in collective house
  • Living expenses (“Per Diem”)
  • Break regime: 5 working days at 3 and 9 months of mission + break bonus
  • Paid Leave Plan: 5 weeks of CP/year + return plane ticket home every 6 months
