ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
These jobs are mainly found in WFP field offices and job holders usually report to the Program Officer or Program Associate. Report lines may change depending on office size.
At this level, work is carried out under minimal supervision. Job holders are expected to produce accurate technical reports and work. They can advise on common practices to other staff members and counterparts in their field of work.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform monitoring activities in a specific coverage area and provide reports to support the effective delivery of assistance programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (non-exhaustive)
- Check the planned movements and distribution of food or non-food items, report problems or discrepancies to the supervisor in order to resolve problems quickly and ensure that the quantity distributed and the quality of the operation comply with WFP standards.
- Maintain information records and monitoring plan documentation, such as commodity movement logs and program checklists, to assist in the efficient delivery and distribution of food or non-food items.
- Gather aid program(s) data in accordance with clear direction, to support program reviews and informed decision-making.
- Liaise with cooperating partners and internal counterparts to gather feedback and support program issues and improve services.
- Receive and collate feedback from partners, cooperating grantees, to support the identification of programmatic issues to drive operational effectiveness.
- Provide guidance to cooperating partners on WFP operational practices, monitoring tools and methods to help them perform self-monitoring tasks and contribute to WFP’s visibility in coverage areas.
- Prepare field mission reports to document program implementation.
- Follow established emergency response procedures for emergency food aid.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMALES STANDARD
Education:
High school diploma.
Language:
Fluency in oral and written communication in the UN language used at the duty station and in the language of the duty station, if different.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR ENTRY INTO THIS ROLE
- Has experience analyzing program results.
- General knowledge of WFP monitoring and evaluation systems and standards.
