About the position:
As a UI/UX Trainer at Multi Aid Programs (MAPS), you will play a crucial role in our project to provide blinded learning courses for youth, empowering them with the skills needed to thrive in the global freelance market. Reporting to the Technical Advisor, you will collaborate to develop a comprehensive curriculum and deliver engaging online training sessions that educate participants on user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development: Work with the Technical Advisor to design a structured curriculum that covers fundamental UI/UX design concepts, methodologies, and tools tailored to the needs of aspiring freelancers.
2. Training Delivery: Conduct dynamic and interactive online training sessions to educate trainees on UI/UX design principles, usability principles, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing techniques.
3. Individualized Coaching: Provide personalized guidance and mentorship to each trainee, offering constructive feedback on their design projects and assisting them in honing their skills and understanding of UI/UX principles.
4. Task Design: Collaborate with the Technical Advisor to develop weekly tasks and assignments that challenge trainees to apply learned concepts in real-world scenarios, fostering hands-on learning and skill development.
5. Project Oversight: Oversee the development of semi and final projects, guiding trainees through the entire design process, from user research and ideation to prototyping and usability testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
6. Resource Creation: Develop supplementary materials, including tutorials, case studies, and design exercises, to supplement training sessions and enhance trainees’ understanding of UI/UX design principles and methodologies.
7. Progress Evaluation: Assess trainees’ progress and performance through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their continuous growth and development.
8. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in UI/UX design, continuously enhancing your own skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required preferable in a field related to architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience as a UI/UX designer with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects and designs.
- Previous experience in teaching, training, or mentoring individuals in UI/UX design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of usability principles, user-centered design methodologies, and design thinking processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively in a virtual learning environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Passion for education, creativity, and empowering youth to succeed in the digital marketplace.
- Fluent Arabic language, and a good level of English Language is essential.
