A member of the largest global humanitarian network, the French Red Cross employs more than 18,000 employees who, through more than 70 professions, put their professionalism at the service of the most vulnerable through activities carried out in France or internationally. .

The international action of the French Red Cross contributes to implementing humanitarian projects in more than 45 countries around the world through 22 permanent delegations, 3 regional intervention platforms, 140 delegates on international missions and 673 national collaborators.

The actions carried out cover the areas of health and disaster risk management.

The French Red Cross also has humanitarian emergency response teams in the areas of health, access to water and emergency distribution.

a Technical Representative for Protection, Gender and Inclusion (PGI) M/F

position to be filled on fixed-term contract (18 months)

Later

The referent ensures the coordination and consistency of technical interventions in the areas of protection, gender and inclusion (PGI) for all Disaster Risk Management (DRM) projects and in particular the 3 Oceans project. (AFD).

The person ensures that the actions implemented respect the approaches and methodologies of the French Red Cross (CRF) internationally and contractual commitments with technical/financial partners. It provides technical support throughout the cycle of projects designed and carried out internationally and ensures the quality and relevance of technical interventions.

The PGI technical referent assists the Head of the GRC Pole in the technical and strategic management of actions implemented by the FIU internationally in the areas of gender, whether specifically or transversally, in close collaboration with the responsible for the GRC and International Emergencies Department, but also the International Health Department, and in support of international geographic departments and operational missions in the field.

-Plan and coordinate technical interventions

You ensure the implementation of strategies and action plans by providing technical and methodological support to projects

Provide technical solutions and ensure the completion of projects in the countries concerned

Ensure quality and support project managers (in particular via the OSO operational monitoring tool) in order to ensure the quantitative and qualitative monitoring of projects

Participate in the recruitment of delegates involved in this theme

Contribute to the development and delivery of training.

– Ensure technical and regulatory monitoring, contribute to technical development and transfer of expertise

Monitor the evolution of the regulatory framework and control the application of technical standards and rules

Provide information, advice and methods that can be adapted to the local context.

Facilitate inter-country exchanges and contribute to the harmonization of practices.

Promote the development of team skills, share good practices and lead a network of humanitarian actors.

– Ensure representation of the international technical expertise of the French Red Cross by developing and leading a network of specialists (public, institutional, associative)

Participate in enriching our technical documentation

– Participate in the response of the French Red Cross in international emergency situations

by providing support for emergency operations, participating in the training of humanitarian emergency response teams, and carrying out emergency or evaluation missions in support of the international emergencies center.

With higher education in social sciences specializing in gender, protection and/or inclusion, you have similar experience of at least 3 years

You master the integration of concepts related to gender, protection and inclusion in humanitarian and climate change adaptation programs

Experience on disaster risk reduction projects is a plus.

You have experience in the humanitarian sector and master training engineering

You ideally have knowledge of procedures specific to institutional donors

Diplomatic, curious, meticulous, you have a good analytical mind and appreciate teamwork
