Support to the Communications Sector of the IDB Representation in Panama – Internship Program of the Country Offices / Offices 2023 – Intern ( Consultant )

About this position:
The IDB Representation ( COF ) in Panama is looking for an active undergraduate student to be hired as a 2023 intern under the Consultant modality.
The COF / Offices Internship Program is a paid Competitive opportunity for university students from member countries to learn about work on development issues and the Bank’s corporate management, and gain professional work experience through learning at work.
What you will do:
- Provide support in the various work areas of the Communications sector of the Bank’s office in Panama.
- Support the generation of new ideas in the processes of creating press releases, as well as other communications sent by the area.
- Participate in the creation of content for the different social networks that the Representation manages, such as LinkedIn among others.
- Continuous review of the different news reports in the various media.
- Participate in internal office staff meetings.
- Support in the required way in the organization and staging of events, such as the book fair and others that are required.
What you will need:
- Education: Active undergraduate student, preferably studying the second year onwards, in communications, public relations or journalism of an accredited university. The graduation date must be after the last day of the internship.
- Languages : Be competent in Spanish with practical knowledge of English
- Soft skills : Good writing and spelling, results orientation, collaboration, innovation, customer orientation, good level of communication, motivation, eager to learn and excellent time management.
- Technical skills: Very good use of Canva, Word, PowerPoint, basic Excel.
Requirements:
- Citizenship : Be a citizen of Panama.
- Age : Be between 21 and 27 years old for undergraduate students, or up to 33 years old for graduate students from the start date of the internship.
- Consanguinity : Not having relatives ( up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including the spouse ) working at the IDB or IDB Invest.
- First job in the IDB Group : To be a participant for the first time in a Internship Program organized by the Bank or the Inter-American Investment Corporation ( “Corporation” also known as “IDB Invest” ). In addition, having been a former staff member, Complementary Workforce ( “CW” ), contractor for the Bank or Corporation, or have previously provided services to the Bank or Corporation through a contractor or under any other contractual modality.
