Doctors of the World is the German section of the international humanitarian organization Médecins du Monde/Doctors of the World. Doctors of the World is committed to ensuring that everyone everywhere can assert their right to health – with medical help and political work.

Our “International Programs” department consists of a team of seven who are responsible for the financing and administrative implementation of projects in the network as well as for supporting the Doctors of the World e. V. is responsible for the humanitarian aid projects implemented.

We are looking for a program administration consultant to support the country programs in Ethiopia or Ukraine at the earliest possible date.
The part-time position (20 hours) is initially limited to 2 years with the option of a permanent position and the possibility of increasing it to a full-time position. The location is Munich.

YOUR FUTURE WORK AREAS

The position holder is responsible for international project finance in coordination with the department management. In particular, you will take on the following tasks:

  • You create project budgets in collaboration with the responsible country officer and the project teams on site.
  • You control the proper and timely use of project funds, taking into account the respective planning specifications (funds retrievals, liquidity planning, budget control, etc.).
  • They ensure the correct financial processing of the projects according to the specifications and guidelines of Doctors of the World and various donors.
  • You create internal and external financial reports (including proof of use for donors).
  • You check and process project-related booking and payment transactions.
  • You support procurement at the project locations and the office and control the logistics processes.
  • You train national and international staff as well as future partner organizations in accounting, project administration and donor guidelines.

YOUR PROFILE

YOUR PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:

  • You have commercial training and/or completed a university or technical college degree in a relevant discipline.
  • You have comprehensive and proven practical professional experience in the administration and financial processing of humanitarian aid and/or development cooperation projects.
  • You have practical accounting knowledge and professional experience in this area.
  • Sie haben Erfahrung in der Umsetzung von Drittmittelprojekten und gute Kenntnisse hinsichtlich der administrativen Anforderungen von Geberorganisationen (Auswärtiges Amt, BMZ, EuropeAid usw.).
  • You have very good MS Office knowledge (especially Excel), experience with WINPACCS is an advantage.
  • You have a good knowledge of German and fluent English language skills; knowledge of French is an advantage.
