Senior Specialist, Global Learning, Leadership and Talent Management At Habitat for Humanity


The Senior Specialist, Global Learning, Leadership and Talent Management is a hands-on, passionate professional, well versed in designing and delivering initiatives designed to maximize talent potential and leadership excellence within Habitat. This position proactively ensures DEI practices are embedded into talent programs and processes with emphasis on repeatable and scalable interventions across our global organization. The primary focus will be in implementing programs full-cycle from analysis, design, development, implementation/facilitation to evaluation, in support of leadership development at all levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Demonstrated support and implementation of key strategic talent initiatives, such as leadership assessments, coaching, high-performing, and people leaders’ programs, with a mix of formal and informal elements informed by the 70-20-10 model (e.g. experiential, social, and formal) for adult learners. – 20%
• Serves as a subject matter expert in instructional design for virtual, in-person and blended modalities using adult learning principles to develop interventions that drive and support performance. – 20%
• Facilitates professional and leadership development programs, both Habitat designed and licensed 3rd party content, virtually and in-person. 20%
• Coordinates support for our Global People Leader Forums. – 5%
• Leverages project management tools and methodology to create work breakdown structures that track key deliverables, timing, and dependencies. – 15%
• Collects and analyzes feedback and learning data to evaluate program effectiveness; designs survey, generates reports, and iterates as necessary to enhance impact. – 10%
• Adapts behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles including dealing with issues, problems, and events that do not always have a process, system, or solution in place. – 5%
• Develops and implements internal marketing and communication initiatives to drive performance and engagement. – 5%

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of human resources experience in Learning/Leadership Development or Talent Management support required.

Requirements:
• Experience understanding business needs and objectives and taking the initiative to drive valuable, effective, and aligned solutions
• Experience developing, executing, and measuring training and development programs, both virtually and in-person.
• Proficiency and extensive work with adult learning principles
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and employees across the organization

Preferred – in addition to minimum:
• Highly proficient in consultative skills in determining stakeholder needs and providing recommended solutions to improve performance.
• Knowledge and ability to use project management methods and tools
• Experience with developing culturally relevant, global programs
• Experience with non-profit organizations is a plus.
• Proficiency in Spanish

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance.

For work locations in the US, the target hiring range for this position is $56,185 – $62,795. The salary range for this position is between $52,900 – $79,300 per year.
