Women drive peace and prosperity in Burkina Faso
Reference: Published as part of the program to strengthen peace and stability in West Africa (PRPS)
This Request for Application (RFA) solicits applications for funding. The DAI is seeking applications from potential partners capable of implementing initiatives in favor of women, peace and security within the framework of the Program for Strengthening Peace and Stability in West Africa (PRPS) from USAID.
USAID PRPS aims to support the implementation of local initiatives that promote the meaningful participation of women in conflict prevention and resolution, address factors that contribute to the prevention of violent extremism (PVE), and build peace and post-conflict stability. These activities will contribute to the broader efforts of West African nations to address the risks of instability arising from conflict. The geographical area considered is the North, Center North, Upper Basin and Cascade region of Burkina Faso.
Applicants are encouraged to propose innovative and practical methods to increase the meaningful and active participation of women and girls in conflict resolution, peacebuilding and policies and initiatives for the prevention and reduction of poverty and poverty. vulnerability in their communities, countries and regions. Applicants can choose from a series of initiatives or expand on existing projects that have yielded positive results.
The deadline for submission of all discussion papers for the first evaluation round is 2 May 2024 at 12:00 GMT.

This Request for Application (RFA) invites applications for funding. DAI seeks applications from potential partners able to implement Women, Peace and Security initiatives under a USAID Strengthening Regional Peace and Stability in West Africa (SRPS) Program.
USAID SRPS aims to support the implementation of local initiatives that promote women’s meaningful participation in preventing and resolving conflict, address factors that contribute to prevention of violent extremism (PVE), and build post-conflict peace and stability. These activities will contribute to the broader efforts of West African nations to address the risks of instability stemming from conflict. The geographic focus under consideration is the North, Central North, Haut-Bassin and Cascade regions of Burkina Faso.
Applicants are encouraged to propose innovative and practical methods for increasing the meaningful and active participation of women and girls in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and P/CVE policies and initiatives in their communities, country, and region. Applicants may choose from a range of initiatives or scale up existing projects that have shown positive results.
The deadline for submitting all concept papers for the first round of evaluations is May 2, 2024 at 12pm GMT.
