We are looking for a Regional Technical Referent (RTR) Energy – Central Africa

Mission :
As Regional Technical Referent, you are the first line of technical support of the coordinations, as such you answer first-line questions from the coordinators and the field. As an RTR you ensure compliance with MSF policies, guides and procedures.
Main activities :
In coordination with the Technical Referents of the headquarters and the Logistics Coordinators of the countries of the region,
You carry out the planned visits according to the terms of reference established by the Logistics Coordinator of the requesting country in the countries of your geographical area :
- You centralize technical support requests and answer questions from the Logistics Coordinators of your geographical area, if necessary with the help of your Technical Referent,’,
- You participate in the elaboration of the schedules of visits and propose any modifications of the initial planning according to the operational needs. The final validation of the schedules and/or their modifications will be ensured by the logistics manager cell in connection with the technical reference,
- You are available to intervene in the framework of the’urgences interventions in your geographical area,
- You participate in the revision of documents or technical notes,
- You participate in technological watch in your specialty via your participation in test campaigns and through your feedback on projects in your geographic area.
- You work on fund files.
- You analyze the components of your activity for all the missions in your geographic area at least once a year,
- You write visit reports and an annual activity report,
Under the hierarchical responsibility Logistics Manager Cell :
- You respond to specific missions at the request of logistics coordinators from countries in your geographic area,
- You participate in the recruitment of national technicians,
- You contribute to the continuous training of the teams,
- You evaluate the technical level of specialists (national and international), contribute to the definition of courses and offer ad hoc training, etc,
- You validate the service providers and the product-supplier couples,
- You advise and support the logistics coordinators in their decision-making relating to your technical specialty, including,
Profile :
Training : Graduate in the field of’electricity.
Experiences :
- Experience working with MSF or another NGO.
- Field experience (at least 12 months) in the field of electricity.
- Field experience in the field of renewable energy is an asset.
- Graduate in the field of’electricity.
- Experience in the field of heating, ventilation and air conditioning would be a plus.
Skills :
- Master the technical skills of your specialty

Status : Nairobi-based position with frequent travel on missions and headquarters, 12-month full-time CSD or 2-year LTA contract
Salary conditions
Salary level 12 according to the MSF grid and experience function : 2797 euros gross monthly + resumption seniority if equivalent position within an NGO
