In Latin America, Trickle Up is based in Mexico City, from where it coordinates the regional operation. Currently, it has active programs in Mexico, Colombia and Guatemala.

General description

The Regional Finance and Operations Management plays a fundamental role to strengthen and ensure the internal processes of the organization, in the administrative, legal, human resources, financial, fiscal, audit, etc. The Regional Finance and Operations Manager will be a key person to ensure the operation of the Trickle Up regional office in Latin America.

Main functions

Financial planning:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies in the short and medium term, seeking to optimize the resources available for the regional operation.
  • Follow up on the correct and timely budget execution of projects derived from donations.
  • Prepare financial reports for donors, as well as internal reports for headquarters in the USA.
  • Create annual budgets and make financial projections together with the Regional Directorate.

Budget management:

  • Prepare operational budgets and control project expenses and on a consolidated basis for the region.
  • Analyze budget deviations and take corrective action, along with project managers and the Regional Directorate.
  • Supervise the correct feeding of financial information systems.

Internal control:

  • Establish and maintain effective internal control processes.
  • Guarantee compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Make sure the organization complies with all financial and operational regulations and laws.

Treasury management:

  • Monitor cash management and liquidity.
  • Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Manage the relationship with external providers (accounting, legal, auditing).

Support in the implementation of operational personnel management processes:

  • Monitoring of supplier and personnel recruitment processes.
  • Follow-up to contracts.
  • Support in the control of human resources processes (licenses, vacations, etc.).

Risk management:

  • Identify and evaluate financial and operational risks.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate the identified risks.

Ratings

Educational requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting, International Business, Finance, or Related Career.
  • Advanced level of oral and written English (very desirable).
  • Management of technological tools and various administrative and financial management platforms.

Experience requirements

  • At least 5 to 7 years of previous experience in financial management, administration and operations roles.
  • Have previous experience in financial administration of non-profit organizations, authorized donors in Mexico.
  • Have experience in financial management of budgets for international, national and / or multilateral organizations (IDB, CAF, World Bank, USAID).

Wages and benefits

We offer a competitive salary for this full-time position, which will be defined based on the previous experience of the selected person.
