Focus on Technical and Capitalization Service

The Technical and Capitalization Service is made up of 13 people. The STC guarantees the development and respect of sectoral intervention policies and frameworks in line with the PUI intervention sectors. He supports the teams at headquarters and in the field to improve the technical quality of the interventions carried out. The STC intervenes in a transversal way in all the missions of the organization with a focus on 3 specific objectives: technical and programmatic support for operations through technical and strategic support, capitalization and technical standardization, strengthening the technical capacities of the organization.

And the Food Safety, Nutritional and Means of Existence in all this?

As Referent Food Safety, Nutritional and Means of’Existence, you will be in charge of the’ technical and strategic support of missions on the SANME component, including, under the supervision of the Technical and Capitalization Service Manager. You will share your activities between visits to the missions you will be in charge of and the headquarters (20% mission – 80% headquarters).

For this purpose, your responsibilities will be as follows :

SANME headquarters and country strategy: You will participate in setting up and updating the SANME intervention framework according to the evolution of the project portfolio, the development and implementation of the programming of the Technical Service and Capitalization of Headquarters in connection with the organization’s multiannual strategy. You will also ensure compliance with the Association’s SANME intervention framework and offer implementation methodologies.

Technical and programmatic support: You will provide strategic and technical support to field teams during the different phases of the project cycle for missions, support and validate SANME survey and evaluation methodologies. You will also monitor / supervise SANME teams and respect the implementation of technical standards.

Capitalization and standardization : You will ensure the capitalization SANME, the dissemination on missions of procedures, practices and know-how related to SANME projects, participate in the formalization of’tools for missions, etc, and will contribute to the dissemination of technical knowledge at headquarters and field team level.

Contribution to the recruitment and training of teams : You will participate in the recruitment and training of technical profiles in SANME, provide briefing and debriefing at the start and return of the mission, and also contribute to the capacity building of the headquarters and field teams.

Representation, communication and coordination: You will ensure the representation of PUI in the context of external events, support the missions by representing PUI to donors and participate in coordination meetings.

The challenges that lie ahead:

In 2024, the specific challenges of this position will include ( 1 ) the revision of the SANME intervention framework, ( 2 ) the development of environmental and climate issues in SANME interventions and ( 3 ) support for the revitalization of the sector within the framework of the integrated approach.

What you need to succeed

Training

You can justify a higher diploma ( min. Master 2 or equivalent ) in agronomy, rural economy or project management.

Experience

You have a minimum of three years of experience in international solidarity NGOs in the management and implementation of SANME projects (food aid, income-generating activities, agricultural recovery, economic recovery, etc, etc). Have you ever held a similar position ? This will be highly appreciated. Have you worked with First International Emergency ? It will be an undeniable asset !

Skills

Do you have a good knowledge of tools and methods for analysing agricultural value chains and value chains ? This post is for you !

Qualities required

You show a good spirit of’analysis and synthesis, are a good communicator, both to the’ and’oral, have the taste of teamwork and skills for training. You show reactivity, flexibility,’adaptability,’organization, and have a good resistance to stress.

Languages

Do you speak French and English fluently ? So much the better, it’is essential for this post !

PUI will propose

Status: Framework

Salary: 3100 EUR gross monthly over 12 months

Medical coverage: 80% of the mutual Health and Providence

Support: Support up to 50% of the ticket and up to 60% of Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of 9€)

Rest: 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37h/week)
