Zoom on Technical Service and Capitalization
The Technical and Capitalization Service consists of 13 people. The STC is the guarantor of the development and respect of the policies and frameworks of’sectoral interventions in line with the sectors of’ intervention of PUI. He accompanies the teams at headquarters and in the field to improve the technical quality of the interventions carried out. The STC intervenes transversally in all the missions of the’organisation with a focus on 3 specific objectives: the technical and programmatic support to the operations through the’ technical and strategic support, capitalization and technical standardization, strengthening the technical capacities of the’organization.
And the Referent of Food Security, Nutritional and Means of Existence in all this?
As Referent Food Safety, Nutritional and Means of’Existence, you will be in charge of the’ technical and strategic support of missions on the SANME component, including, under the supervision of the Technical and Capitalization Service Manager. You will share your activities between visits to the missions you will be in charge of and the headquarters (20% mission – 80% headquarters).
For this purpose, your responsibilities will be as follows :
Strategy SANME headquarters and country : You will participate in the implementation and the’update of the’ intervention framework SANME according to the evolution of the portfolio of projects, to the development and implementation of the programming of the Technical Service and Capitalization of Headquarters in connection with the multi-year strategy of the’ organization. You will also ensure the respect of the framework of’intervention SANME of the’Association and propose methodologies of implementation.
Technical and programmatic support: You will provide strategic and technical support to field teams during the different phases of the project cycle for missions, including, support and validate the methodologies of’investigations and’evaluation SANME. You will also ensure the monitoring/supervision of’ teams SANME and compliance with the implementation of technical standards.
Capitalization and standardization : You will ensure the capitalization SANME, the dissemination on missions of procedures, practices and know-how related to SANME projects, participate in the formalization of’tools for missions, etc, and will contribute to the dissemination of technical knowledge at headquarters and field team level.
Contribution to the recruitment and training of teams : You will participate in the recruitment and training of technical profiles in SANME, provide briefing and debriefing at the start and return of the mission, and also contribute to the capacity building of the headquarters and field teams.
Representation, communication and coordination : You will represent PUI in the context of’external events, support missions by representing PUI to donors and participate in coordination meetings.
The challenges ahead of you:
In 2024, the specific challenges of this position will include (1) the revision of the SANME intervention framework, including, (2) the development of environmental and climate issues in SANME interventions and (3) the support of the revitalization of the sector within the framework of the integrated approach.
What you will need to succeed
Formation
You can justify a higher degree’ (min. Master 2 or equivalent) in agronomy, rural economics or project management.
Experience
You have a minimum of three years of experience in international solidarity NGOs in the management and implementation of SANME projects (food aid, income-generating activities, agricultural recovery, economic recovery, etc, etc). Have you ever held a similar position ? This will be highly appreciated. Have you worked with First International Emergency ? It will be an undeniable asset !
Skills
Do you have a good knowledge of tools and methods for analysing agricultural value chains and value chains ? This post is for you !
Qualities required
You show a good spirit of’analysis and synthesis, are a good communicator, both to the’ and’oral, have the taste of teamwork and skills for training. You show reactivity, flexibility,’adaptability,’organization, and have a good resistance to stress.
Languages
Do you speak French and English fluently ? So much the better, it’is essential for this post !

PUI will propose
Status: Framework
Salary: 3100 EUR gross monthly over 12 months
Medical coverage: 80% of the mutual Health and Providence
Support: Support up to 50% of the ticket and up to 60% of Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of 9€)
Rest: 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37h/week)
