First aid, including resuscitation, is a vital action to effectively and quickly treat trauma and illness to improve a person’s chances of survival. Every year, millions of people die or suffer complications from injury due to lack of timely assistance or adequate first aid. At the basis of the CRCR Movement, first aid and resuscitation are acts of humanity, emphasizing the desire to save lives without discrimination. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is, along with National Societies, the leading trainer and provider of first aid and resuscitation services worldwide.
At the IFRC General Assembly in 2011, several National Societies called on the IFRC to scale up and harmonize its support for first aid. This led to the creation of the IFRC Global First Aid Reference Center (CMRPS) in 2012, hosted and supported by the French Red Cross (CRF). To achieve its overall objective, and subject to the availability of funds, the IFRC CMRPS works and provides services as part of the IFRC Global Health and Care Team, under the direction and leadership joint members of the IFRC Secretariat and the French Red Cross.
Manage the activities of the IFRC World Reference Center for First Aid (CMRPS), coordinate the implementation of its missions and ensure its operational, partnership and financial development. Ensure medical reference, in line with the scientific reality of the CMRPS and represent the French Red Cross and the IFRC in all circles where its presence is required or desirable. The director reports administratively and functionally to the director of international operations of the French Red Cross and technically to the director of the health and care department of the IFRC in Geneva.
As part of a replacement, we are looking for our Project Manager at the World Reference Center for First Aid (CMRPS) (6-month fixed-term contract)
You will participate in the monitoring and development of First Aid projects in Europe and Africa, technical support to National Societies and contribution to the cross-functional work of the CMRPS

MISSION 1 Lead and Produce
Participate in monitoring CMRPS projects in Europe and Africa
Participate in relations with the IFRC’s regional “first aid” networks in Europe and Africa
Participate in monitoring requests from National Societies for International First Aid Certification for Africa and Europe
Implement operational monitoring tools for Africa and Europe projects
Supporting NS in their efforts to develop first aid training
Collaborate with CMRPS technical file managers for deployment in areas (commercial PS, PS Mobile Application, International PS Education Program, etc.)
Promote and develop actions in general at the request of CMRPS management
MISSION 2 Collaborate and follow
Monitor ongoing French Red Cross projects in Africa and Eastern Europe in liaison with the DOI Desks
Monitor and technically support first aid delegates in the areas as well as project monitoring tools
Participate in working groups for the Africa and Europe geographic areas
Monitor the budgetary aspect of activities
MISSION 3 represent and DEVELOP
Represent the CMRPS at meetings in Africa and Europe zones
Produce summaries
Establish the deployment protocol for CMRPS volunteers (Master Educators, IFAA representatives, FF)
Develop a monitoring and evaluation tool for the implementation of the IFRC PS Vision 2030

Holder of a master’s degree (university or high school)
You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position
You have solid knowledge of first aid and first aid training

You speak English fluently
