Solthis – Therapeutic solidarity and initiatives for health – is an international solidarity organization, intervening in the field of health in Africa. STAKES
Present in Niger since 2004, Solthis has led from 2016 to 2022, in partnership with the Directorate of Youth and Youth Adolescent Health of the Ministry of Public Health, of Population and Social Affairs, the’ONG Equilibres et Populations and the’OSC nationale Lafia Matassa, France, a project to promote sexual and reproductive health in adolescent· and youth (SSRAJ) in Niger (project JADES, project, Youth and Adolescent· Health) by working to strengthen both the’Service offer of SSRAJ and the demand of adolescent·s, and, but also to the strengthening of’agir capacities and the’autonomisation of young people.
The LAHIYATA project which is the subject of this publication feeds on this expertise and the lessons learned to improve access to information and services of Sexual and Reproductive Rights and Health Adolescent and Youth ( DSSRAJ ) schooled and out of school. in the regions of Niamey and Maradi.
The project will intervene on 4 axes :
- Strengthening the power of young people and adolescents in school and out of school
- Strengthening the service offer of SSRAJ is comprehensive, quality and focused on the specific needs of adolescents and young people
- The organizational, technical and material strengthening of Lafia Matassa ( LM ) for the implementation of the project and ensuring its sustainability
- Promotion of the voice of adolescents and young people on subjects relating to DSSRAJ including Gender-Based Violence ( VBG )
Solthis is looking for a project coordinator who can be responsible for the quality implementation of the intervention, support our partners in all aspects related to the promotion of DSSRAJ and supervise the operational and budgetary implementation of this project ( tasks relating to project management ).
SPECIFIC MISSIONS
The Project Coordinator, based in Niamey, placed under the hierarchical responsibility of the Director. rice Country.
The DSSRAJ Project Coordinator :
Is responsible for implementing, monitoring and achieving project objectives according to Solthis standards :
- Implementation of activities according to the chronogram defined contractually with donors
- Reporting donors according to the methods and rhythms defined by Solthis and the donors
- Development and implementation of the Monitoring & Project evaluation plan
- Relations with technical and financial partners
- Advocacy / Capitalization / Communication
Anime and supervises the project team by ensuring the quality of the actions carried out
- 1 Medical officer
- 1 midwife
- 1 Project manager
Ensures the budgetary management of the project, the respect of administrative and financial procedures Solthis and donors and the proper use of mission resources by being an actor in internal control
Ensure compliance with safety rules by direct employees
Contributes to the search for co-financing and the development of new projects within its scope of’expertise.
Profile Sought
Initial training
You hold a higher level diploma type Master, in a relevant field: public health, social sciences, project management, development
Experience :
You can justify from’an experience of 6 Years minimum in the field of health projects with institutional funding or 3 Years minimum in project coordination.
You have a solid experience with vulnerable populations, in particular adolescents and young people, and are able to’work to the deployment of innovative’actions in the health, institutional context of Niger, to CSOs.
Experience working in Niger is an asset.
Qualities & Skills :
You master the concepts of :
– the health project management cycle ;
operational and budgetary planning and management ;
You communicate in French with ease both at’oral and’ and are recognized for your listening and diplomacy
You benefit from’a very good capacity of’analysis, synthesis and’animation and management of’team;
Other : You master the’computer tool, including the usual software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, SharePoint ..).
REMUNERATION
The salary is defined according to the contractual status : National or International, and the Solthis salary grid
