PUI works in 10 sectors of’intervention and is distinguished by the implementation of’an integrated approach in its response. This method aims to identify and understand the’ set of needs of people affected by a crisis. Our teams are mobilizing to provide a global response to the’ set of basic needs of populations victims of humanitarian crises in the’ emergency to allow them to regain autonomy and dignity.

Focus on Africa 2

The Africa 2 cluster consists of 4 people at headquarters. The mission of its members is to provide support to the countries of the zone (Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Libya and CAR)

What about the Programme Officer in all this?

As a Programme Officer, you will be responsible for the’ development of project proposals, follow-up, etc, the control and coordination of’s set of Operations in compliance with the procedures of the’Association for the area of which you will be in charge.

For this purpose, your responsibilities will be as follows :

Operational Management: You will support missions and oversee operational and contractual management. You will contribute to project risk management. You will work in coordination with the other headquarters departments.

Strategy: You will actively participate and support the missions in the development and proper implementation of the operational intervention strategy.

Capitalization: You will actively participate in the capitalization of procedures and tools within the Operations department.

Geographic Pole: You will actively contribute to the animation of the geographic center ( preparation and animation of meetings ).

Management: You will recruit and provide support and training for an intern in contractual monitoring, project management and donor monitoring.

The challenges that lie ahead:

– Context and dynamic projects on the Sahel Central – Issues of operational implementation in difficult access areas – Challenges of diversification of activities

What you need to succeed

Training

You can justify a higher degree’ (min. Master 2 or equivalent) in a field related to humanitarian action: project management, technical training related to one of our areas of intervention.

Experience

You are strong of’an experience similar to the headquarters of’an NGO or at least 3 years of’s field experience in international NGOs, in the management of projects financed by institutional donors. You have experience of’ in the capitalization, creation and dissemination of tools and procedures. You know the areas of intervention’ ? This will be highly appreciated. Have you worked with First International Emergency? It will be an undeniable asset!

Qualities required

You have capacities of’analysis, reflection and you consider yourself pragmatic. You show a good relationship, ease of communication, both in writing and orally, and you have a taste for teamwork. You demonstrate leadership and decision-making ability, reliability and sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, responsiveness and adaptability. You’re diplomatic. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.

Languages

Do you speak French and English fluently ? C’is indispensable for this post !.

PUI will propose

Status: Framework

Salary: 3100 EUR gross monthly over 12 months

Medical coverage: 80% of the mutual Health and Providence

Support: Support up to 50% of the ticket and up to 60% of Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of 9€)

Rest: 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37h/week)
