Background:
Woman Support Association is a humanitarian, developmental, and nongovernmental organization that was established in 2013 and officially registered in Turkey in 2015. All projects implemented by the Association in Syria and Turkey aim to build a better life for women and empower them so that they can face problems and challenges in a way that maintains their dignity and respect.
Overall Role:
Under the direct supervision of Senior Program Officer, the Project Manager based in Gaziantep is responsible for managing the project of promoting access to integrated community services locations in the north of Syria according to the plan and specific timeframe; s/ he will also be supervising the field team in a way that helps achieve the results that the project aims for.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage all works and activities of the project and adhere to the project’s timeframe and budget.
- Supervise the field team, distribute and follow up their tasks and provide technical support regarding women and girls protection activities, provide necessary support and build the capacity of the field team.
- Provide the Senior Programs Officer with periodic reports on the progress of the project and the accomplished tasks.
- Effectively communication with all project stakeholders and organize meetings with the field team on regular basis or when needed.
- Coordinate with the financial, procurement, HR departments, to control expenditures and secure the needs and resources needed to implement the project.
- Responsible for delivering the materials needed to prepare media reports
- Coordinate with the line manager to identify potential workflow challenges, develop prevention strategies, mitigation measures, and contingency plans.
- Responsible for archiving, and delivering all project documents at the end of the project.
- Participate in local and international coordination meetings that are related to the project or program department. Ensure attend meetings regularly to maintain effective communication and cooperation with other team members and stakeholders.
- Finalize reports for WSA and donors, ensuring quality of both technical and narrative content.
- Any other tasks related to the Programs Department
Competencies, Skills & Experience:
- At least two years’ experience in managing projects in I/ NGOs ( Especially protection projects)
- Proven experience in leading a team
- Good in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Good understanding of and engagement with the humanitarian context and the key principles of accountability, impartiality, neutrality, independence and cooperation;
- Ability to operate as part of a team in a multi-cultural, value-driven work environment, and to perform tasks in sensitivity to the local culture;
- Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and detail orientation with adaptable communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and punctuality.
- Good organizational skills, time management skills, and setting work priorities
- Ability to negotiate, learn and self-develop.
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Very good at English.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field. General terms and conditions:
