Procurement & Logistics Officer (Re-announced) At Woman Support Association


Background:
Woman Support Association is a humanitarian, developmental, and nongovernmental organization that was established in 2013 and officially registered in Turkey in 2015.
All projects implemented by the Association in Syria and Turkey aim to build a better life for women and empower them so that they can face problems and challenges in a way that maintains their dignity and respect.
Overall Role:
Under the direct supervision of Senior Program Officer, the MEAL Officer is responsible for managing and implementing the project monitoring and evaluation activities in accordance with the plan and specific timeline. S/he is also responsible for supervising the field MEAL Assistants in a way that ensures achieving the goals and results that the project aims for.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Participate in logistics and procurement planning at the field level and in program planning; provide consultation regarding logistical and procurement considerations.

2. Manage the logistics and procurement operations by following the practices, and procedures set forth in WSA Policy.

3. Evaluate the existing logistics system and provide advice on correct measures for the organization to take.

4. Ensure the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the new logistics initiatives and procedures.

5. Design, execute and manage contracts with suppliers from shipping, transportation to warehousing.

6. Represent WSA in logistics activities with other organizations and in cluster meetings.

7. Lead the process of all purchases and all requirements of quotations and bids in accordance with WSA policy

8. Prepare monthly reports

9. Do other tasks as per supervisor’s request

Competencies, Skills & Experience:

– Two years-experience in logistics and procurement field in NGOs.

– Ability to work under pressure and punctuality.

– Very good at English.

– Good organizational skills, time management skills, and setting work priorities

– Ability to negotiate, learn and self-develop

– Proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

– Proven experience in leading a team

– The ability to communicate effectively with different team members

Education:

Bachelor Degree in in Business Administration or any related field
