The USAID-funded Famine Early Warning Systems (FEWS NET) Strategic Planning and Activity Design (SPADe) Support project, a global activity implemented by Tetra Tech International Development (International Development Jobs – Tetra Tech) is currently accepting expressions of interest for the Operations Assistant position. This position can be fully remote from a continental US-based location or hybrid/remote within a commutable distance to either one of our office locations in Burlington, VT or Arlington, VA.
The Operations Assistant will support travel and logistics and will ensure timely coordination of STTA/staff to the field. The position will work with security focal points to provide staff with guidance/resources and will support the Chief of Party in event planning. The Operations Assistant will report to the Operations Assistant. This is a full-time position, through 7 April 2026.
Responsibilities:
* Provides administrative backstopping support to the FEWS NET SPADe Team, including daily coordination of logistics and finance.
* Ensures compliance of project operations with USAID, Tetra Tech Home Office, and other required administrative policies and guidelines.
* Ensures timely provision and delivery of all financial, administrative, compliance, procurement, and subcontract considerations.
* Provides administrative and functional support to project communications and workflow processes.
* Coordinates logistics for all team travel, project events, and operational needs.
* On-board staff in line with local labor laws.
* Take on ad-hoc tasks to meet project activity needs as required.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, international development, or any other field.
* Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting project operations, finance, and administration; experience providing operational support to USAID or other donor-funded projects and fielding teams in fragile contexts is highly desired.
* Knowledge of USAID financial and contractual rules and regulations.
* Experience and skills using cloud-based project management and finance tools, including Salesforce, Microsoft Office and 365, QuickBooks, and other systems.
* Proven ability to monitor staff and subcontractors implementing diverse assignments across multiple countries and/or regions.
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic is preferred.
* Current US work authorization is required at the time of application.

Pay Transparency Statement:
We are committed to taking a thoughtful, compliant and equitable approach to employment compensation and rate setting. The anticipated pay range for this position $50,000 to $60,000 annually.
