Our mission in the DRC has existed since 2001. PUI is developing its integrated approach with projects in primary health and the fight against malnutrition. PUI intervenes in Ituri with projects in health nutrition, and in North Kivu through an integrated approach in health emergency nutrition complemented by activities in food security.

And the.the Assistant· Head of Mission to Programs – Kinshasa in all that?

As’Adjoint· Head of Mission to the Programs, you will be responsible for the implementation of the programs across the different bases, including, by ensuring the piloting and development of’a relevant, appropriate and technically sound programme strategy.

For this purpose, your responsibilities will be as follows :

  • Programmes : You will be in charge of the implementation of the programmes, ensuring that programs are conducted in accordance with the PUI charter and respecting internal technical guidelines and contractual procedures. You will be responsible for monitoring the implementation of the programs at the mission level. You will be in charge of’interpelling the basics on the needs of’improvement of quality.
  • Development/Strategy: You will lead the’ needs and gaps analysis, and propose new operations according to the identified needs, in direct coordination with the Field Coordinators and the Technical Coordinators. You will lead donor mapping to develop the fundraising strategy.
  • Human Resources : You will directly manage the’ technical coordination team and ensure that Field Coordinators and Assistant Field Coordinators benefit from their support.
  • Representation : By delegation of the Head of Mission, you will ensure and coordinate the representation of PUI at the national level with partners, donors and authorities. You will participate in technical forums (working groups).
  • Coordination: You will ensure the efficient interaction between the’ technical coordination team and the basics. You will also ensure that the technical coordination department provides adequate liaison with the Support Coordinators.
  • Logistical, administrative and financial follow-up: You will participate, in direct collaboration with the technical coordinators, in the overall supervision of the links between the technical coordination department and the logistics departments, HR & administrative. You will ensure that the implementation of all activities is done in compliance with internal and external logistics and administrative frameworks.

The challenges ahead of you:

– Contribute, with its team, to raise the quality of the PUI DRC projects. – Continue the deployment of the programmatic strategy 2023-2024, focused on’urgences responses. – Support the restructuring of certain key departments (MEAL, etc.) and sectors (protection, etc.). – Nurture the reflection on innovative interventions.

What’it will take you to succeed

  • Training : You can justify a higher diploma ( Master 2 or equivalent ) in a field related to project management, international development and / or social sciences.
  • Experience : With at least four years of management of multisectoral humanitarian projects ( of which at least two years in coordination position ), you also have experience in project management, in needs assessment and development of proposals, in terms of external representation, and in team management. Have you ever worked with First International Emergency ? It will be an undeniable asset !
  • Skills : You master project management,’team management, as well as database management software and statistical software packages. You with in-depth knowledge of the requirements and expectations of donors, in particular ECHO, BHA, PAM, UNHCR, CDCS, AFD and BPRM, as well as excellent editorial skills (especially for proposals and reports).
  • Qualities required : You demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills. You have good capacities of’analysis and synthesis, are a good negotiator and a good communicator, as much to the written’ to the’oral, and know how to guarantee effective results under the pressure of the deadlines. You are demonstrating’organization, rigor, flexibility and’a strong resistance to stress.
  • Languages : French and’anglais have no secrets for you ? So much the better, it’is essential for this post ! If you also speak’arabe, this will be an undeniable asset.

« PUI RDC celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2022, but remains a very dynamic mission, in the image of the Congolese context. The years 2021 and 2022 have allowed PUI to see its operational volume increase, and the years 2023-2024 will have to focus on structuring and stabilizing the mission. With this in mind, the role of the CDM/Adoint.e Programme will be fundamental to develop this strategy and ensure the effective implementation of our various projects, including, with a strong desire to rise in quality. »

  • Status: Executive in Contract with Determined Duration
  • Gross monthly salary: 2,970.00 – 3,500.00 EUR according to your experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester of’ seniority with PUI
  • Assurance including medical and complementary health coverage, 24/24 assistance, repatriation and pension
  • Hosting in collective house
  • Living expenses (« Per Diem »)
  • Break regime: 5 Working days to 3 and 9 months mission + break premium
  • Paid Leave Plan: 5 Weeks from CP/year + ticket’avion A/R at home every 6 months
