Solthis is a global health NGO, created 20 years ago, that acts for prevention and access to quality care for all, everyone, strengthening health systems and services in a sustainable manner. We intervene on the health issues of women, mothers and children, and on major pandemics, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis. Solthis is a development NGO, present in West Africa with 6 country offices and which, in partnership with local actors, deploys projects that include a combination of operational research, capacity building, and advocacy components.

Logistics Expert (Multi-Country – Steering Wheel)
Contract duration : CDD 8 months
Status : Frame – Package 210 days

Mission country: Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone (between 1 month and 2 months to be expected in each)

STAKES
Solthis is in the process of defining its new logistics repository, this repository includes a methodological guide and the associated tools. The main mission of the’expert· Logistics is to lead, in conjunction with the Administrative and Financial Managers (RAF) Countries, the Logisticien.ne.s Countries and the Country Directors, the, the deployment of this reference in each of the countries of’intervention of the’organisation.
This reference includes in particular the following’action fields :
• (Purchase, transport, storage and distribution)
• Management of subcontractors, supplier relations and negotiation,
• Management of medical inputs,
• Management of equipment and maintenance,
• Management of vehicle fleet,
• Management of means of communication,
• Management of premises, hygiene, security and general services
• Management of national and international travel,
• Appui to the management of security
• 2 Computer park management and’information systems.
• Taking into account energy and environmental issues,
SPECIFIC MISSIONS
L’expert· logistics Multi country contributes to the successful deployment of the Solthis logistics repository in its 5 countries of’ intervention. It carries out a logistical audit of the countries during its field missions. It ensures the training of the’ all the stakeholders in the logistic procedures and’s ensures their correct deployment and use.
As part of the implementation of the reference on country offices, the’expert logistics will have the following missions :
Auditing the Logistics Country
- Support the Country office in the reflection on the’organization of the’ Logistics team and the links with the operational teams
- Support the RAF in the coordination of the logistic’activity with the’ set of the activities implemented by Solthis in the country (coordination projects and support teams)
- Ensure an inventory of equipment and infrastructure by country and develop a renewal plan
- Establish a mapping of logistical risks, propose mitigation measures to reduce the levels of risk identified
- Develop a’ action plan by country
Deployment of the logistics kit
- Contribute to the elaboration of’a deployment action plan
- To support the teams in the implementation of the new Solthis logistics procedures and tools
- Train stakeholders (RAF, Logistician, Support and Programme Teams, Country Director, etc..) in the associated procedures and tools.
- Set up logistics reporting tools
PROFILE SOUGHT
Initial training :
Bac+ 3 in humanitarian logistics, chain management of’supply.
Training/coaching experience is required.
Experience :
You can justify imperatively of’an experience of minimum 4 years of’experience in the field of humanitarian logistics including 2 years in coordination.
Qualities & Skills :
- For this position, we are looking for a person who knows how to supervise teams, adopting a posture of’ accompaniment, coordinate a team work, lead change, lead meetings and training, analyze, analyze, synthesize, alert and propose solutions.
- Knowledge of institutional donors and their procedures (AFD, Expertise France, Unitaid, Global Fund in particular) is required.
- HeIt will also have to know how to show’a strong reactivity, pedagogy and’ listening, love teamwork, be very rigorous·, and autonomous.
- Since the position is mobile and requires’ to intervene and travel in 6 countries, a capacity for’ adaptation and an appetite for change of location are necessary.

You master the office pack, the tools of’animation of remote meeting (Teams, zoom)

REMUNERATION
Salary :
Depending on the’experience on a similar post – between 2150 and 2300 euros gross monthly

- ’expatriation status: perdiem from 580 to 700 euros monthly, depending on the country
