Money Transfer Assistant At Danish Refugee Council


General purpose of the position

Under the supervision of the Economic Recovery Team Leader, the TM Assistant contributes to the effective and high-quality performance of the TM component’s field and office activities in accordance with the guidelines of the Economic Recovery Program-TM and the general DRC strategy in the assigned territories.

Responsibilities

Implementation of the MPCA (Multipurpose Monetary Transfers) program.

  • Participate in the implementation of specific activities of the TM component, contributing to the highest quality in interventions.
  • Implement work plans respecting the guidelines and technical indications from the different areas of the Organization.
  • Carry out registration of potential beneficiaries, according to the instructions and requirements of the program.
  • Establish telephone contact with participants to schedule appointments, calls, and collect and/or provide information.
  • Conduct characterization and eligibility surveys of potential beneficiaries, in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Carry out awareness-raising and information sessions in the community in areas of high vulnerability and generally with multiple effects.
  • Carry out the different activities proposed during the enrollment days.
  • Support the management, support and monitoring of program participants.
  • Actively participate in the creation of proposals, content, and activities developed by the work team.
  • Identify cases of special attention and refer to the relevant programs and/or entities.
  • Support the preparation of reports and proposals.
  • Conduct and/or support home visits to identify habitability and vulnerability conditions in assigned work areas.
  • Other activities necessary for the success of the program

  • Actively participate in the formation of COPASST – Labor Coexistence Committee – Emergency Brigades, as well as the activities they carry out.
  • Comply with the rules, regulations and instructions of the SG SST.
  • Report in a timely manner the dangers and risks latent with your workplace.
  • Attend OSH training defined by the SG-SST training program.
  • Ensure the maintenance of order and cleanliness in your position and work area.
  • Provide clear, truthful and complete information about your health status.
  • Immediately report work accidents, incidents (near accidents) and illnesses diagnosed as work-related to the OSH area and your immediate boss.
  • Report to the immediate boss the need to take corrective or preventive actions, which correspond to real or potential non-conformities of the process to which it belongs.
  • Participate in training activities, drills and those that are scheduled from safety and health at work.
  • Participate and contribute to the fulfillment of the SG-SST policy and objectives.

Experiences and technical skills:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in humanitarian assistance/action, social work, human rights or other similar field work, related to an NGO or other non-profit organization.
  • Field experience and work with urban and/or rural communities in situations of vulnerability or exclusion.
  • Experience and ability to interview people of all ages and backgrounds, addressing cases with high emotional impact; intercultural communication.
  • Good skills in working with tablets and computers.
  • Good skills in MS Word and Excel.
  • Willingness and ability to learn.
  • High capacity for self-management and time management.
  • Experience with standard procedures and guidelines.
  • High professional ethics
  • Service vocation

Desirable:

  • Experience in intervention in communities/areas with difficult access and/or in contexts of armed conflict.
  • Good communication skills with communities and individuals and creating a safe and trusting environment.

Education:

  • Relevant university degree (e.g. political science, law, international development, social work, psychology, human rights), or equivalent professional qualification.
